One interesting quirk of the shield is that enemies can’t shoot through it on either side. So if the situation calls for it, you can throw the shield ON TOP of an enemy bunkering down in one spot and force them to reposition away from the shield or allow you to push them for free while they try to exit the bubble. Obviously this is a fairly niche way to utilize the shield over simply protecting yourself, but it absolutely works in the right scenarios.

I really wish there was a way to just enter into the maps to examine them. That would go a long way in my learning of the maps. It's hard to really get the nitty gritty of the maps whilst being shot at. Also, the 20 or so seconds when you're wiped doesn't afford a ton on time for exploration.

I've mostly played medium as they have a ton of utility, decent health, and a variety of main weapons for different play styles. I have a problem with my guardian turrets, however. I will have it deployed in a room near the cashout as you've shown in this video. Enemies will enter the room and it just seems to do nothing. I've talking with many players experiencing similar issues where the turret seems useless. I have ALSO experienced enemy players that place a turret and it seems to IMMEDIATELY target me and proceed to relentlessly shred me. "These" turrets also seem to target/lock on to me from greater distances than mine work. They have even continued to fire on me after I have reached cover, goo wall, building, etc. Am I doing something wrong with mine? PLEASE ADVISE. Great video by the way and tons of information/tips for all of us to try out =]

I guess my first question is, do you make sure you face your turret the right way? From what you've written, it sounds like you've used it enough for that not to be a problem. Otherwise, I'd be keen to see footage you have recorded of this happening to try and figure out what's going on.

@@RockhoundBlack Yes, the turret is facing the correct direction. Usually stick it in a corner facing the box and "action" zone with an optimal field of fire. I also often set them up on the floor below the cashout, in an empty open room as it's a hotspot for the enemy trying to steal the cashout. An anecdote: I set up crew-served weapons in the US ARMY, among many other things. I'm very proficient at placement, protection of the system, and maximum range/field of fire positioning so the game turret is very easy to place, for me. I will record the next time I play (probably tomorrow afternoon into the evening) and try to edit the video down to just the turret doing what it does. I'll probably also add some clips of enemy turrets just shredding me =] Thanks for the reply.

how were you throwing the goo canisters so far? It seems mine dont go that far.

The latest update nerfed throwables with attachments, so they are essentially heavier and travel less distance. It could be that you’re experiencing if it’s since patch 1.5.0.
