Used to be I would clean the little fuckers up with the CL-40 but they nerfed it into the ground, both directly and indirectly so now it doesnt work so good.

how is it not working so good now? I kinda stopped using cl-40 due to the explo mines need time to activate to deal its full damage, though I still play MGL32

@@Shiruvan yeah the indirect nerf of mines doing 20℅ damage while unarmed is a big thing, but they also lowered damage from 110 to 93 and made the falloff linear, so you can do 1 damage on the edge of the radius now. It feels really bad to get quite low damage on close hits. You can use gas mines instead of explosive but it really doesn't have the same impact. MGL is way less focused on direct hitting targets, way more spammy and reloads all 6 in one go so you dont have to manage reloading as much. I do like MGL but I dont play heavy as much. I would like CL to get bouncable grenades on right click.

@@dingbatfpv oh yeah... the linear falloff felt more like nerf to explosions, requiring to be waay more accurate with it, and sometimes like with the weapons handling and recoil changes, it felt off, oddly inaccurate feel all around. I think server refresh/tick rate were improved in s3, but at cost that explosive hit fairness in any clientside delay to be emphasized slightly more(lower ping-sees enemies closer to real server location- shooting ahead and correct projectile leading), all guns felt off for a while, but ultimately I couldn't fix the CL-40

@@Shiruvan I used to throw a mine at someone and shoot CL-40 when it was close, you'd blow up the mine for full damage and get the grenade damage. You could properly chunk even heavies to where you'd kill in 2-3 hits if you got the drop on them properly. It felt like a proper skill shot that wouldn't have been nerfed if it wasn't for nukes, simply because it was so niche and obscure.

@@dingbatfpv I did the same, mines were a kit to help its relative inaccuracy at far enough range without elevation difference tbh(shooting from same ground already gets wildly inaccurate very fast without cramped space to splash on)

Yes, lights are fun to use. Having more than two on a team? No. Ive watched my entire team get themselves wiped multiple times, aross all gamemodes because we have too many lights.
