I will say, during the event, I was able to play for most day to get as many tickets as possible. I only missed ONE day, which is three tickets, I bought what I could with VRS, and even then, missing ONE day, doesn’t get me everything on the wheel. You will have to end up paying if you aren’t able to get the remaining rewards

It would be good if when you got a duplicate on the wheel it would remove that item from the wheel so you have an increased chance of getting other items. Too many people haven't completed it even if they got 3 tickets every day it's just too much fomo 😡

4:33 I'm no expert & have no solid proof, just my observation. There are sleep mode settings for Xbox series x, my Xbox is my entertainment hub, it hasn't been fully unplugged in 3+ years except for 1 or 2 times. it has run nearly 24/7 & any performance issues experienced by any game were the fault of the game & in most cases, fixed by the devs. Point is... Based on my experience, I don't think unplugging for 30 secs will do anything if you're having problems. But like I said, I'm no expert.

I restart mine from scratch/unplugged all the time and it does nothing to fix the performance. I haven't cleared the cache though - try it today, but it seems the halloween update killed the performance. Input lag, no reg, framing, .5 sec behind everyone, etc. - all over the place and with every game.

An xbox is a PC and computers need to be restarted all the time to clear memory leaks etc. I would disagree that there wouldn't be some type of performance issues over time. It's not like you have the option to turn on a frame counter or even see a lower framerate overall. This especially the case with whatever type of TV you have. Now you could argue that since you don't "see" the performance issues, then why does it matter. But then I would say latency and frame timings matter A LOT in FPS games. So just because you don't see problems, doesn't mean you aren't experiencing them.

However, as The Finals is my main game & has been since OB, I feel like if there were any performance issues affecting my gameplay that could be resolved by a full restart, it would have been noticed & resolved. I also believe that if something is not an issue that can be noticed because it does not affect you or your gameplay, then it isn't a problem. But I'm not saying don't try it, just saying it probably won't fix what people are "noticing". If someone thinks it helps, go for it👍

The problem with the wheel is that you have 42 attempts to hit 20 individual items. Which results in only approximately a 5% probability of obtaining every item without having to pay. While yes, you can get some of the items with VRS, you are not helping yourself that much - as it does not change the odds of getting other items - because duplicates and regular items have the same probability of being earned. This system is NOT respecting player time, and we should NOT be happy that embark is being oh so gracious. To do all the of spins, you have to log on every single day for 14 days and play 3 games to do all the challenges. This is a blatant milking of player hours to look good to Nexon. I work in business data analytics and have my masters. I can call a spade a spade. At the end of the day, they shouldn’t have locked an exclusive set of cosmetics behind the wheel that has shitty probabilistic odds and marketed it as a gesture to the community. Embarks own language was that this was the “alternative” to putting these items in the store - but for ~ 95% of dedicated players it still results in spent multi bucks. I don’t mind the system at its core, but they should have been more transparent or at least let players earn the skin set at 15/20 items as a true gesture of good faith. I love the game, but Embarks double-speak on their use of fomo is annoying at best and lying at worst.

If you’re actively cutting the power and restarting your Xbox then it does help. But you should be force restarting/unplugging your Xbox every now and then. The degrading of performance is 100% happening over time. Just like with a PC you need to be actively force restarting every now and then. Memory leaks are a thing, even on console.

I couldn't play The Finals on my steam deck because of a bug that wouldn't let me launch the game. But also the Halloween event just sucked in general. Like I would've rather had a timed event like previous events over just gambling. And I seen someone say "this might be a test and possibly may be a permeant thing in the coming years" and I'll be honest I hate loot bocks and gambling. If I'm given a time limit to get items I'll never beable to get on the spot without spending Multibucks or VRs on it that I don't have is just dumb. And of course theirs people who will disagree with my opinion that the wheel was a stupid choice and again I just didn't have the time and patience to finish the event because I got tired of dying to Lights and having crap teammates. But again I could never play to finish the event on my steam deck to get all the items and I'll never be able to get those again. Now of course they may return one day since they're technically something you could've spent money on instead of completing challenges. Also if Embarks wants to get more popular they can just remove everything fomo mainly the battlepass. DRG done it best and you can literally buy previous battlepass items in the store. I want those previous battlepasses as bundles in the finals store and you can pick and choose what you want to buy or just buy the whole bundle for a big amount of Multibucks. I don't care what sweats and greasy basement dwelling lights say about "oh but it's not fair thay we had to grind out the battlepass and spend real life money to buy the currency to buy the battlepass and all we'd have to do is wait a while then we could buy it with the same amount of ingame currency but in the shop once in a while" that is stupid and you should never listen to just tryhards and instead should take suggestions and discuss it with the team and test it out.

I think the main issue is with the wheel situation is that they’re rewarding people for completing it. In past events, they’ve typically provided some basic items (and occasionally medium-to-good items) for free, with better items available in the shop. Now, it’s similar. in the wheel there are a basic items available for free (earnable through VR), and instead of finding the good items in the shop, they’re placed in the wheel. This means that, unlike in previous events, there’s a chance to get these items for free. i think, in this case, the problem with FOMO arises because there’s an exclusive reward for completing the entire wheel. Now, if you want that set, you have to finish the wheel, but you’re not guaranteed to do so. this may push players to buy whatever is left to complete it even if they don't care about those item. Also, and maybe I’m a bit biased here, I don’t think their intention was just to create FOMO to get money from players. I believe they wanted to use it to increase player retention, giving casual players an additional reason to play daily and collect every possible golden ticket to complete the wheel and get as many reward as possible.

I got impatient and bought the last item (19/20) and I don't particularly mind spending on the games I enjoy playing, but a "loot box" system? Brother Ew. That's not it. "You can get all of them tho, you just need luck" That's the thing, it's Luck based. Not everybody has the time to play everyday to get A CHANCE at a RANDOM cosmetic. The kick in the balls is that you need all 20/20 to get the final reward as if it's a Quest or some sht. Quests isn't supposed to be about luck.
