I had 89 rm 250 just out of college. I used to day dream about a complete restoration all the time! Love the old RMS!
@lewhuckleberry3097 ай бұрын
I found your channel by dumb luck, shortly after aquiring a 1992 RM250 listed as free on the local Craigslist. Complete and in very good condition for the price,the previous owner had given up after not getting spark and a healthy amount of money spent in the process. I had not even considered riding bikes again after a serious crash twenty years ago had pretzeled the forks on my RM400 and compressed two vertebrae in my back,but the arrival of the 250 and the recent retirement from work sparked the dormant need to roost!! Now after just completing the restoration of my 3rd dirtbike (the '92 RM250,a "82 Husqvarna 250CR swedish left-kicker basket case, and a '97 Honda CR250 needing very little repair, I realize the videos you produced in the series on your RM250 and the detail and precision you applied motivated viewers to strive for perfection and persevere through the setbacks and keep your eye on the goal. The end result is worth all the effort and a source of pride that cannot be bought at any price. Thank you.sir,and keep the fire stoked!

I've never owned, ridden or worked on a motorbike of any kind (mopeds don't count right lol) but watching this entire series has been a real pleasure. Thank you so much for your efforts!

So I’ve just finished binge watching the entire build for the RM250. I can honestly say I’ve never seen a better build series period. The attention to detail, literally down to the smallest screw is simply incredible. You should be very satisfied with what you’ve done here. Suzuki need to buy this for their heritage museum!

This is without a doubt the best restoration series on youtube. Others should watch this to see what a thorough build is. My god man your attention to detail is enviable
@bbundridge6 жыл бұрын
I literally ignored the majority of people and work and watched all 26 episodes in a single day. How do you not have a million subs is beyond me but thank you for your time, dedication, and outright genius on this. What a beautiful, beautiful job. Gives me a lot of inspiration for my 1987 and 98 RM125 builds.

The bike looks absolutely fantastic I'll for sure be coming to have a look at this when it's on show, your attention to detail and knowledge are second to none and I doubt there is a better example of a 1992 rm250 in the world! On another note perhaps before you start the CR resto you could do a video of the bikes you have restored in the past and currently own, I'm sure a man like yourself has quite the collection.

11:15 - there it is... I was watching closely for it. Honestly, this is the best youtube series that I have ever seen. It isn't just the nostalgia of my 1992 RM 250. The care and attention to detail that you put into the build is inspiring. I also really enjoyed the fabrication that you did. Don't have a specific tool, just build one. Don't have the proper carburetor inlet, here's an old brass bolt, let's fabricate one. You are very talented! Congratulations on such an amazing rebuild!

It's always a big pleasure to see this RM and your videos in general. Suzuki should give you a prize for the job done, this bike is worthy of a museum, seriously ! Can't believe that now you'r moving onto the cr, which is basically the same bike as mine, will be even more interresting to watch. P.s. I'd be glad if you want to come give a look at my 1992 cr 250 and 1998 kx 125 on my channel... Inspired by you I restored the Kx as oem looking as I could, not a super detailed work like yours, but still pretty accurate and qualitative, unfortunately I didn't made a video abut it resto, but some day I will put toghether a photo slideshow of the work, it took months...

Another answer for the barbs in the fuel line being different sizes, the fuel line for the Yamaha DT200R is different each end because it had the same problem from the factory. It would have gone straight on but you can see the upset in the hose, where as changing the barb looks perfect.
