Its amazing how far science has come with our own lifetimes. That's why it is so difficult to me when people who do not take historical context into mind when speculating on the ways of the ancestors just assume things based entirely on their current context.

This is one of my favorite stories and I would love for a continuation of it. As far as what draws me and other people to Ireland, I really haven’t put my finger on it. I do remember when my wife and I were visiting Ireland, we were walking we in Galway and I stopped telling “I don’t know what it is, but this feels like home…” and she agreed with me. There was just something about the island, a calling. We have a five year plan to move to Ireland so I absolutely love everything y’all do!

Definitely the fir bolgs' story ends in tragedy, but still would love to hear it told in your words. Just read Daimler's translation of the Cath Maige Tuired last month and it's absolutely worth returning to again and again. Thanks for another great video 💜

Thank you for this. As an American of Irish descent, I very much understand the call of the heart. I have Welsh, German, Danish, and other various additives, but it's my Mother's Irish heritage that fascinates and pulls. Ireland is not my home, but I want to see it. I want to walk the shores and connect with those who reside there.

Even though I'll know a lot about the lore of Ireland obviously not as much as yourself, Lora & Morgan. However I always like to study, learn & hear about all the stories even if it's already known to me. That is why I enjoy all of your channels because sometimes I do forget certain things & you all remind me of it or I learn a little something new about a previous subject I thought I had down cold. Yes I would love to know what happens to the Fir Bolgs. I am not even Irish. Not one drop of blood I believe. So it is a wonder what it is that draws me to Ireland. I'd love to visit one day.

People often think I am Middle Eastern but I am nearly all Irish/Scots with minute amounts of Scandinavian/Russian and Anatolian. I wonder if I am a Fir Bolg - haha

There people who fled oppression were descendants of the tribe of Nemed. The SOURCE Lebor Gabála Érenn: Book of the Taking of Ireland. vol. 4. ed. and tr. by R. A. S. Macalister. Dublin: Irish Texts Society, 1941. We have the following excerpts: 'Semeon son of joyful Iardan' - This is the one who brought his people into Greece and unfortunately found oppression there too. 'Thereafter the progeny of Bethach son of Iarbonel the Soothsayer sson of Nemed were in the northern islands of the world, learning druidry and knowledge and prophecy and magic, till they were expert in the arts of pagan cunning.' - This is what we have on the origins of the Tuatha Dé Dannan...but Bethach actually died in Ireland of a plague and it was his ten wives and their children who survived him.
