When I took delivery, on my new Mustang Mach I, in Dec. of 1969 I discovered 1/2 a bushel basket of loose nuts, bolts and washers when I picked up the trunk mat. Curiosity caused me to pull the rear seats and rear carpet, where I found even more. I asked the final prep guy at the dealership if that was normal and he said that was a shift change car. The last guy working on that car emptied his apron, in the trunk, when the shift bell sounded. Quality goes in, before the name goes on !! FORD QUALITY.

I actually left my green Ferrari Matchbox in my mother's 1964 Maroon Grand Prix because my brother thought it was cool to smash all my matchbox cars with dad's mallet. But, dad traded in the 1964 Grand Prix on a 1969 Catalina. Many years later, I saw a Black 1964 Grand Prix in a Central Ohio bone yard. I checked it out for the memories … and I found my green matchbox Ferrari right where I hid it in that car.

I remember reading a story about someone buying a brand new car(50s?) and taking it back to service for a rattle in the rear. Everything checked out. The rattle persisted. Cool find on the little T-bird. Must have been a Ford family. Speaking of finding cash in cars. I guess I had my lucky Moment. About 20 years ago I was buying cars from the police impounds in GA. I bought a 88 Mercury Tracer for $65. Now the rules for the auction was you're buying them AS IS Where is. Including all of the contents. They usually came with a bunch of trash inside. So i decided to clean it out a few days later. When i lifted the back seat tucked up behind the back seat i found a roll of $100 dollar bills. 8 of them to be exact. And something else i won't mention here. Thanks police Impound! Free car Friday!

You almost started to mention possible colors for FrankenStang. My last Mustang was a 1967 Shelby GT350. It had crash damage to the passenger rear quarter starting right at the back of the door. The rear end was pushed back and the rear frame torque box was ripped off of the floor. Even the top of the rear quarter was pushed in a bit, but the rear window wasn't damaged. It took quite a while to repair the crash damage, but when it was repainted it's original Candy Apple Red the car looked like it was brand new. So, 67 Ford Candy Apple Red would be my color of choice for FrankenStang.

Hey Scott, Happy Friday friend! Some real "meat and potatoes" in this vid, great work explaining the design-build again for those that skip thru your videos and miss critical info. The segment where you joined the 2 component cars together was epic, and the resulting visuals should clear up the "I don't get it" viewer confusion. Much respect for the work you put into these videos every week and the humor you interject at the proper moments during the voice-over. 5 stars again for your efforts, professional and technical knowledge. Really a joy to watch you work and hear you explain the how and why of the operations you show in realtime. Enjoy your weekend, work safe, and keep on doing what you do so well. The name "Frankenstang" is perfect IMHO. Color is an optional choice by others. I'm watchin here, looking forward to the next installment. Doug@ the "ranch"

The videos that have the least work always look like I get the most done as long as I make big changes. I did this to show the viewers and give myself a little motivation. Even though it is a long way from fitting, it looks 100 times better to me and helped me realize that my vision for this car is possible. Thanks for the support.

Yes, one of the advantages of building a Ford, running is optional on a test drive. lol

Wide body kit will make the '65 nie 2015 look nice. Chunky rear end (don't go there!), lower to the ground, with a growl to it - the Frankenstang could be appearing on another website 😎. Bullet Green would look nice. And, yes, pushing it is consider a Ford drive. Looking forward to next edition.

Hopefully it looks like the image I have it my head. I don’t know if it will be making it on any other shows but Ford Friday. 😂
