Rosie, there is much Black history we have not heard of, and only find out if we seek it. I grew up in the Jim Crow South, and at 79 am still seeking and learning, because it wasn't taught in school. We must take the initiative to learn the truth, Black and white

I don’t know about these people but in my family it wasn’t a “proximity to whiteness” or being near a white person, it was the fact that their white fathers acknowledged them and took care of them by getting them educated or trained in a profession. It’s one of the reasons many mixed race people were middle class and educated. That’s still happening today. 🎉🎉
@LibraVibesSnice803 күн бұрын
💯💯💯 absolutely agree
@wowzers617818 сағат бұрын
what about the MAJORITY of white fathers who DIDN'T acknowledge them or took care of them by getting them educated or trained in a profession? and the ones that did were taking advantage of their "white privilege" because a Black man could not get an education nor his children and it was against the law to even employ a Black man so he could get a job. So no profession to pass to his children.

An inspiring story, ❤ coincidentally a white man named flexner closed many black medical schools at turn century, he was on board directors at Howard university , felt black doctors not needed, and blacks would become too affluent, some of this man teachings still used in medical schools today, I came to realize it’s not we can’t , someone said we won’t 😊

Set your book up for Kindle. People look down on passing but many blacks did this because they wanted a humanistic life and to live comfortably. Being discriminated is very painful and emotionally draining.

Ridiculous because despite it all the doctor who identified with being black was extremely successful. So go figure. Interesting information. Never heard of him. Another black person to add to my repertoire of very interesting successful black achievement. Love your channel ❤️

I cant say anything on what our people did then( as for passing ) .I was born in 1960 and i felt SOME of what they went through but they bore the blunt of this evil.With her husband as her covering gone she had to protect those surviving children and herself. Its sad they whited out to that extent but i wasnt wearing her shoes.Its wasn't the unforgettable sin .And we dont know what conversations she had with Jesus Christ of Nazareth about her situation ( i don't know if she served Him or not).
