I think the old points system is definitely also extremely underrated in how it enhances the zombies experience, I used to spend hours maximizing the early rounds in order to get packapunch as quick as possible and it also gives full auto guns a use compaired to shotguns which were the meta in cold war.

I think a good idea would be for them to have the same characters with the quotes and feelings but you can buy "skins" for the characters in the shop. You can still have the same quotes but the same transaction for the skin will work and your character will look cool

On the topic of characters, I think treyarch was going in the right direction with Cold War, in cold war we did have a crew, that crew wasn't our playable characters mind you, but people like weaver and DR Strauss, bassicly anyone who popped up on the corner and talked, that system could be perfect, imagine we had a group of 4 overseers that watched over the battlefield and THEY were the ones to give the snarky remarks or make jokes like our OG crews did, the character you played as wouldn't matter because those overseers would be our crew

I think the most likely scenario is they just have 4 operators who are the "zombies operators" who have unique dialog if you play as them in zombies but then you can also use them in multiplayer and warzone. That way they can sell skins for them and people who don't play zombies might still buy them.

The system in WW2 zombies is absolutely the way they need to go btw. That game had dozens and dozens of character skins, but a canon cast that was consistent across the maps that always had more dialogue. If you wanted less story, less dialogue, less talking, you just selected someone else. And if it was a co-op game, and other people still wanted story stuff, they could pick one of the canon characters and everything would be fine. The skins themselves were unlocked by in-game challenges (lol that's never coming back but a man can dream), and while adding to the game's diversity of selection, none felt too out of place in the game, no real life celebrities or other IPs getting in the mix. It was aesthetically consistent while providing players options. I sincerely do not know why this wasn't the case for Cold War, where we could have easily played as any combination of Weaver and the rest of Requiem, Kravchenko and the rest of Omega, Samantha, Ravenov, and a few other characters. It would have required a rework, where if enough story-dependent characters weren't in the game at one time they'd radio in like they do now, but for the most part, they would be expected to work as a team on-site at each map.

The only thing that could hype me would be a scrap of all mechanics introduced in BO4 & BOCW, on top of that an complete retcon of BOCWs lore, a complete retcon of Tag der Toten and with that a remake of the entire storyline from WaW-BO4. Cod Zombies IS the primis/ultimis crew (and a little bit of victis I guess...). It simply doesn't work with some randoom operators. And by the love of god - keep the chaos storyline for your self. I think an option that could work is one where the personality (voice lines n such) are of a specific crew, and selecting an operator only changes the appearance. That way operators are just as interesting visually, but you still are incentivesed to use them because you still get the voice lines and personality of a crew (Also this format is neat, i rather like it for shorter videos)

In mw2019, there was a bundle of a woman wearing Nikolai’s clothes. It wasn’t cannon that she had Nikolai’s stuff or anything, it was just a bundle referencing zombies. There is a possibility that this also could be an explanation to seeing a woman in scarlets clothes

I think what they could do is have a select set of “operators” for zombies but they are all in universe. Basically we’ll see characters returning from the old zombies games but we’ll see them in this universe. They either won’t remember their past life or maybe they’ll be forced to remember. They will have new clothing, new lives, new motives, but you can unlock skins for them that represent their past lives or even buy new skins. So for instance…and I really hope this isn’t the case, we could be paying for zombies operators as well such as Tank, Takeo, and Nikolai. They leave little tidbits of Easter egg quotes here and there but they’ll be locked behind a paywall. I hate that a future like that is even possible but they did have Samantha as a buyable operator for Cold War.

I think there should a “story mode” where are you play as the main characters example, “Richthofen, Dempsey, Takeo, Nicolai” then have a arcade mode where you play either as your own operator or one of the four crew members. This would solve the issue of how they want to sell operators still, and we will still be able to play as a crew which would be awesome. Kind of doubt they will do this, but would be great if they did.
