had mine for 13 years and sold it with 78k miles and a genuine bmw warrantied engine in 1998!!!!...rust issues underneath the bonnet at the front and the front door frames. sold it for £500....you couldnt give them away then and sadly the next owner removed the engine and scrapped the car. i am not surprised they are worth so much nowadays as they are truly lovely.

Great job and beautiful car too. Rare even in South Africa. BMW South Africa had a couple of special models. The lack of E30 M3 in the S.A market had them make the m30 333i and the 325iS evo1 & evo2 which had a 2.7l with alpina head, m3 suspension and other bits.

Wow,wow, wow, BMW Unicorn !! Very good decision to leave the TecTyl undercoating !! Also excellent decision to add underbody wax. This legendary car will never rust. Superb automobile. The only drawback with underbody wax is that it attracts road dust that you can not remove but this is way better than having the metal rust. Is this original paint ?

Very nice car. I don't believe the seats have the original leather covers.

I' am sure you make a good job,but you talk total nonsense about history for the first M5. The first one is M5 e28 DC91.

No kidding, really? 🙄 Anyone watching this video will very likely know the E28 was the first five series to officially carry the M5 badge, and to run the M88 engine. The point the guy in the video is making is the M535i was the first five series developed by BMW Motorsport that wasn't a bespoke special order car, and in that sense it was absolutely the first 'M five series' car.

@@contributor7219His first statement in his Video: The first M5 ever build ....; Not everyone know the the real history about the BMW Motorsport GmbH and the cars ( WBS Vin) in comparison to BMW AG cars with M badge ( WBA Vin)in detail, not bad, but with missinformation like this the nonsense goes on. Neither more nor less.

@@M5-Porzellan You're one of the people that apparently doesn't know that history and is spreading misinformation about the history of the BMW Motorsport cars. Not every M-car has a WBS vin prefix. The M88/3 engined E24 M635CSi (badged as the M6 in some markets) has a WBA vin prefix but is a BMW Motorsport car. For many years I owned an E24 with an E24-RA2 vin prefix, which was also a Motorsport car - do you know the history of those? You're fixated on his one opening line rather than considering the history of BMW Motorsport as a whole and the point he's making about the E12 M535i in that history. This is a good video that helps people understand a little more of BMW Motorsport's place in the history of BMW racing and road car development.
