Great video! Best comparison...should be the standard for all. For the price, i would keep stock and put money on other mods.
@ridinbmw2 жыл бұрын
Nice comparison video. I personally think the car sounds fantastic stock. There is even drone with the exhaust button on in the factory setting which is annoying. So always having to switch to exhaust off on the highway. Three grand is to much for a Jeep exhaust in my opinion. Especially when the stock sounds fantastic and it adds drone. For that price too it should include new valves and not having to reuse the stock ones.
@UltimateTruckOffRoad2 жыл бұрын
We would agree the stock exhaust would do it for most people. The tones between the 2 are totally different. The borla has more of a performance sound while the stock offers a nice throaty mopar note.

I just cut my resonators off and welded in two 3inch straight pipes. Must more raspy, not noticeably loud at cruising but full throttle it’s much louder 👍

Is it worth the price though. The stock exhaust sounds good as is.

That is completely up to the consumer. For the money you are getting a top quality manufactured exhaust system that retains the factory cutout.

MetalCloak 3.5. There will be another video soon going over everything done to this one.
@zachwick53622 жыл бұрын
@@UltimateTruckOffRoad Not to stray from the topic on this post, but how is it holding up for you with the stock front driveshaft? I also got a MC 3.5 on my 392 and got the longer 6 pak shocks, changed the front driveshaft due to the extra droop (CV Boot on stock driveshaft was bending pretty bad) and now that I upgraded to Tom Woods 1350 driveshaft I get a gnarly vibration from driveshaft due to the castor angle (6.5 degree) that was a result of the lift. I'm at 4 degrees on the castor now but the handling sucks on highway. So it's trade off. Do I want the vibration and good handling or no vibration or bad twitchy handling. Another fix is to run Force RWD on Tazer and that helps on the vibration. It seems this isn't being thought out with people lifting their 392s since they are full time 4 wheel drive and we don't have a FAD like the other Rubicons, so its a big issue. Just wanted to see if folks like you have noticed or what your solution would be. I'm guessing at this point just throw back on the shorter fox shocks and be prepared to repair / replace stock driveshaft with another stock driveshaft every 15k or so miles.
@UltimateTruckOffRoad2 жыл бұрын
@@zachwick5362 unfortunately don't have a good answer for that one. When we did this one, we did MetalCloaks front driveshaft and have not seen an issue with it. Now this rig specifically sees very little off road use, but on road the customer has no complaints. I would probably recommend chatting with Metalcloak and figuring why the Tom Woods wouldn't work on there as I would assume it is close specs to the Metalcloak one.
@zachwick53622 жыл бұрын
@@UltimateTruckOffRoad thank you for the feedback! Glad it is working with the metal cloak drive shaft, might try that route if I can’t get the vibrations down and castor at a reasonable setting together in harmony with the Tom Woods driveshaft. Have a good one.

is the drone more noticeable at high speed with the values open? I noticed drone when stock traveling back home from PA when I picked mine up and closed the valves when I was on the highway.
@UltimateTruckOffRoad2 жыл бұрын
Yes. Almost anything over 3000 rpm with valves open. Closed wasn't horrible, would be tolerable on a longer drive.
