Doto, you have to finish the rest of the what if stories in story mode to get access to Adept and Hard tournaments. The reason is because they have to have enough characters to include in it the tournaments. Once you finish unlocking the rest of the characters, then when you win the novice one, the tournaments will spawn immediately after you win 1 novice tournament.

Broo If u wanna unlock the other difficulties as well as characters you'll have to play the extra story missions. They're really fun, just do it. Once complete the tournament difficulties will show up in the store as u defeat the previous difficulty

Fun fact, budokai tenkaichi is not related to the original budokai series in gameplay, just named that to capitalize off the popularity. Thats why there is a name change from 'sparking' in Japan

Well that isn't that fact. The Fact is they are related by the Budokai name that Bandai kept. They just reused the name on the Tenkaichi series. The Tenkaichi series is just a set of games made from the first 3 Budokai series to make the upgraded versions which became the Tenkaichi series. It's why you can see the fighting in the first Tenkaichi game was still similar to the Budokai 3 game. Bandai also loved the DBZ game and just wanted to improve it under a new name but keep the old name as well just different developer. The real fun fact is that Tenkaichi is just the english name and Sparking! is the japanese name for the game. They named it Sparking! because they wanted to reference the Cha-La Head Cha-La opening of DBZ.

@@aarondevack1912 I don't see why they wouldn't do both. Raging Blast 2 had both and is a great game. I also don't think it's hard to make an algorithm to randomly produce opponents for a string of one off battles if they already have a single battle mode. You don't even need a reward at the end. Just make it multiplayer(at least locally) to play with friends, and have an AI difficulty selector.

to add to the pvp vs single player tournament mode. the tournament mode means they have to program variable ai. why do that when it's easier to track a few stats and put people into matchmaking queues? The single player tournament modes are awesome, just mentioning why you odn't see it as much even if it seems like something that could be easy there's no telling how difficult it could actually be

Glad I'm not the only one. His and Rhymestyle's gameplay through the entire budokai series, refusing to learn cancel combos and trying to raw spam supers against a high level ai, just HURRRTS. Also that constantly letting their opponent charge ki, considering it was a computer, which basically meant they were always on the defensive against the superior ai.

A good way to grind Zeni is to find a character you're good at and make a custom set with Heart Virus/Senzu Bean on it. It affects both players and will quickly drain both of you, making each match way shorter, and you'll have the senzu bean buffer.

Haha, great gameplay man! Also here's some advice for the skillshop, the recommended section on the bottom is randomized every time you enter it so if you want a specific skill, refreshing is in fact your best way to go about it so don't buy anything you don't want!

I used to boot up fresh saves when I was 11 and this was new. I'd pick weak characters with no skills and work my way through tournaments buying skills on the way. It was fun for the time! You brought back some nostalgia here!

Can't wait for Doto to learn how to build ki by holding block then press back twice. As for transform, it's both the block trigger and melee trigger at the same time (other method is pressing all three P-G-E) The what ifs in this game is also really great as well. Hercule mode is another method to grind Zennies. To unlock the other tournament difficulties is pure RNG, but yes you can refresh the shop until you get it. (In doing this, you can get Dragon Balls which are 8,000 Zennies I believe, and getting the Dragon Balls you can unlock breakthroughs for one character with each wish, which are all the move sets for the character to use that has been set for custom)

So, not sure if you’re aware but in those clashes, you rotate the sticks to win. You can tell who wins a clash with which character’s back is facing the player(one closest to you) although I also heard someone tell me once hitting the attack buttons increases damage but I don’t remember if that’s true. Also, in case I missed it being explained anywhere in these vids, powering up is done holding guard and double tapping and holding reverse(behind your character). And like some of these guys say, legit half the story is unlocked on the second run, the raditz fight allows you to be piccolo instead of goku, vegeta vs 18, etc. and many of the characters you still need are unlocked thru this method(not to mention what if stories) And those glowing attacks are sort of charge attacks? So you can side step those in the tourny if your reflexes are quick enough and score and ez from behind ring out dam near every time And in training those status you saw on the screen tell you the dmg difference between transformation and stuff(you mentioned in a prior vid it didnt seem to change much) That’s all from me so far, really enjoy your stuff, keep up the good work.
