@@nofxdude89 they’re different podcasts. What I really like about this is that it’s essentially two skate mates chatting shit with a lot of great stories. The Nine Club is much more about linking their interviewees place in skating history. There’s very definitely a place for both and I really enjoy both formats and look forward to every release!

I know youtube has me watching these all out of order, but honestly this is one of those podcasts where i dont really have to. Its so great to be able to chill and hear what you guys think about skating and to hear all the stories about a world and a culture i kind of had missed out on growing up in the sticks. Like you guys are bringing me back into it. Its cold as shit out right now, but im possessed to skate again. Like im enamoured by the thought of going out there and getting my heels back. You guys pump me up.

All that stuff Tony was talking about toward the end is like listening to an test-pilot-turned-astronaut talk about his journey to the Moon riding the same piece of wood with wheels I struggle to scrape on a curb. It's actually humbling that dudes like that consider all of skateboarding the same thing. Thanks for existing, Hawk and Wolf. Jason Ellis is rapidly becoming one of my favorite people of all time.

Tony that was the most honest and practical response to the wetsuit conversation. It's not another gimmick that's needed it's upper body strength. It's funny too that as surfers we are so critical of people using incorrect terminology.

Thank you for starting the podcast with that Sweet Hawk vs. Wolf animation than immediately welcoming us to the show!!! That’s so much better than the click-bate 5 second clip of the apex of a story. I don’t like it when you’ll do it the old way because it’s so weird and confusing to be brought in in the middle of a conversation. It is disorienting and makes no sense. Also it makes me feel like I got here late when it jumps in the middle of your conversation. So all that to say I love the way you did it today please continue to do that thanks!!! P.s. wouldn’t mind longer episodes 😁

I love this podcast but I can't help but give a pedantic correction 😁 The first combined BMX/Skate event was the ToL (Tower of Love) Ramp Jam in the mid-80s. The ramp was built on the grounds of Wizard publications (publishers of BMX Action and Freestyle magazines) in Torrance. Andy Jenkins was the editor of Freestyle at the time. Spike Jones may have been a staff photographer.

I see someone else saying those guys. Did you hear the podcast live or something? Because I want to tell these fools to shut up with their saying it's got Olson, and they shouldn't even speculate about people they know nothing about, especially if they can't spend the time and figure it out. I started skating in 2000, it's not like I have an edge on this one. But see, I know nothing about the other guys, except a story about a Ron Allen graphic.
