Hey, I found your channel by accident and find it quite interesting- especially because I also have a bit mismatched CPU+ GPU combo- but not as much: i5-8600K@ 4,6 GHz, 3060 Ti. And I play in 1440p- rather not the newest/most demanding games last time. Anyway- I don't see you counting 1% lows? I think, it is very important- especially with CPU bottleneck.

Well if you search for 8600k and 3060ti in my channel, you will see that this was my normal configuration, up to a week ago. I just moved the 3060ti to the 4770k and the rx6600 to the 8600k. I do such shifts from time to time, to see how each config fares. Now regarding my counting, let me tell you a quick story. A few years back, I was doing tests like these. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mYjIpYacgcd8hdk I mean I was measuring everything, capturing frametimes, inserting them in a frametime analyzer and all that. At some point I concluded that all this is overkill. I like to take a more relaxed approach, that's why everything is capped now. My point of view has shifted to a more ballpark and eyeballed experience. If it looks ok, it probably is. Getting super obsessed with numbers, is forcing it lose it's romance I believe.
