The drop rates arent bad. They need to make getting amorphous mats less tedious, and open trading. 99% of your time isnt spent killing a boss, nor do i think anyone cares about that. The painful part is spending 20 hours farming mundane tasks, to spend 5 hours farming another.... to get an amorphous... just to not get it. Thats painful. Drop chance calculator. It shows upper and lower limits. Always expect an upper limit... be happy when it isn't. The image shown puts the owner in the upper limit for 094 and lower limit for 098. So unlucky for 094 and on par for 098.

80 runs and no 6% drop means he is among the 1% cases where you don't have 1 drop in 80runs. 38 runs gives a 90% probability of drop once. If D is the drop chance, N is the number of runs and P is the probability of getting 1 drop the equation is P = 1- (1-D)^N. 1-D is the percentage of not getting the drop. There is no guarantee of ever getting a drop but the likelihood of something like that happening gets smaller the more runs we do. But even 1000 runs are statically low for small drop chances to follow the expected behavior.

Think about it, 6% chance is still 94% to NOT drop the item. Its random, and tbh for a korean game those drop rates are pretty high . There are items in BDO that have droprates around 0.001%. So yeah 6% is fine. And if you want a godroll weapon in destiny the droprate is also worse than 3%/6% when you see how much perks in which combination they can roll.

About the ammo. I think its good for the game if you cant stick to one ammo type 100% but if you cycle your guns you svouldnt run into ammo issues. Right now you still do. Or at least I do.

I’m an Enzo main and I’d really like a change to the ammo system to provide more for players. I’d also like for those changes to reflect Enzo’s kit and be more focused on buffing weapon statistics instead of ammo. If they do it wrong, Enzo becomes useless and that’s awful too

The math behind drop rates is relatively easy, anyone can calculate the % of something not dropping using the formula Chance not dropping= (1- DropRate)^n where n is the number of attempts. For example I calculated the odds for not dropping Sharen and Enzo's pieces while I was farming for them together with another player, we had multiple instances of those items not dropping after 15-20 tries with a 20% or 30% drop chance. That's almost mathematically impossible if the droprate was truly a fixed 20% for each attempt: For a 20% drop rate after 10 tries you have a 0,1% chance for the item not dropping. After 15 tries that's 0,035% For a 30% drop rate, at the 10th attempt it's 0.02%. Actual drop rates for stabilizers, enhanced cells ect are in my tests between 5-10% drop rate even when listed as 20% or 30%. Sure, a couple of players players aren't a significative enough sample, but call me skeptic. I had similar issues while farming weapon pieces and similar.

For the ammo thing. I love Enzo but his ammo giving ability isn't much of a fix because the bot doesn't give much ammo on my experience anyway. Id say they give us more ammo atleast in colossi fights. But maybe changing his first ability to give infinite ammo for a set amount of time (still need to reload mag but don't lose any ammo in ammo pool). That way it's not as OP as Gleys infinite ammo for herself but can still be a very useful ability to help the team.

During beta many players complained about the ammo situation they addressed by adding the drones...it does not fixes the issue many players me included recommended that at least one ammo type needs infinite ammo maybe general rounds also crouch, slide, trading and many other things where suggested even a pitty system for the amorphous materials

Not getting enough ammo is not really the real problem... real problem is the fact that most players only have one good weapon and that means they can only use one ammo type plus you can build your weapon around this if ammo really is too big of a broblem. Drop rates are horrible and not what is shown in game for sure. I been farming ultimate Ajax about a week now and opened probably 200+ patters and only have two parts and one of them is cells with 10% drop chance.

The amount of people in first descendant that dont know how statistics work bothers me, a 20 percent isnt 1 in 5 with a guaranteed one in 5 runs, its a 20 percent chance each new instance, you could theoretically fail a 20 percent chance every second for an entire day

depending on what gun you main, you can easily fix ammo issues, I use thundercage all the time and I just walk around with 900 rounds at all times and I can get bullets from normal rounds, impact, rounds or special rounds, I never have ammo issues with interceptor fights. You just run general rounds weapons on your 2nd and 3rd slot. Equip max level "Expand General Magazine", "Normal Impact Rounds Refining" and "General Rounds Compulsive" on your 2nd weapon. "Expand General Magazine" "Normal Special Rounds Refining" and "General Rounds Compulsive" on your 3rd weapon. switch to your 2nd weapon if you see green, switch to your 3rd weapon if you see orange, EZ PZ

I DISAGREE with the ammo problem. I have a second gun with the same ammo type as my main gun, but with 2 max mods for ammo capacity and ammo conversion. So i sit on 800 ammo initially and during fights i collect more than i can spend. So if you see convertable ammo on the ground, switch to the second gun (with similar ammo) collect all, switch back and your MAX ammo capacity will stay the same.

Theirs a mod for weapons that says gaining an ammo type ( special/impact/general ) will grant heavy ammo. Example, I use hand cannon often ( green ammo/ impact ) I pull out my heavy weapon and roll over the green bricks gain heavy, purple will still grant heavy too. I main Gley now but this is what I took advantage of with Blair when I don’t have infinite ammo lol

I have been playing for around 160 hours now, i have 12 descendants unlocked and 3 of them are ult bunny, ult gley and ult ajax. To me 3/6% is a high percentage compared to many other games…. People complaining about 50-100 runs are not used to grind games and possibly get their stuff handed to them🤣🤦‍♂️ i’m used to grind for months to get 1 drop and on here people expect to get some rare drops in 2 weeks after the launch of a game?? The Collision with Players pushes more spatial Awareness but I agree it can be jarring if you constantly get stopped in your tracks by running into Players but this is how it always works either it's fluid and easy or it provides a higher Skill ceiling requiring Spatial Awareness for more fluid movement. They could disable Player Collisions to instantly give everybody fluid Movement or they could leave it as is and Players learn to move around while there is other Entities roaming around it is kinda similar to friendly fire you can disable it or force Players to adapt and pay attention to who they shoot at. My guess why it is different in Albion vs the other Zones it is cause in Albion you have afk folks and a lot of Players at the same time they disabled Collision in Albion so Players don't get stuck in Groups of possibly afk for hours Players.

I farmed the muskeg reactor in echo swamp 52 times before i got the 20% drop of the nano tube for afterglow.. although, I did get the activator blueprints (6% drop) 7 times in those 52 runs... I guess that evens out?

Part of the problem is that the amorphous material also has a drop chance, so the reward rng is really twice as long. I think the item tables should stay the same everywhere at. Buff drop chamces cause the little buffer material they offer almost never drop and dont make a hugh difference and get rid of amorphous materials

I dont think the game is counting how many runs you have done to determine whats your drop percentage . The percentage is for each runs individual so if is 1 % it dosnt mean that the 100th run you do is going to drop , it could take you 200 runs or more.

Can do 10 runs, go for 10 amorphous to farm for one of the 32% chance items and not get the specific item, but instead, I'll get the other 32% items 6 times with other lower rated items. there is a problem with ammo maybe, but since my second day on the game a friend of mine discover a "trick" to have unlimited ammo. You run ur main weapon, lets say a machine gun. As ur secondary gun, you get another machine gun with Max General rounds and the mod that let u get normal rounds when picking impact ammo. So, u use ur main weapon, and when u are getting low, change to ur secondary, get around with impact and normal rounds, then change to ur main weapon again. With just 1 pick up of impact ammo, i got 850 general rounds, so is nearly "infinite". If u need a guide of how to do it, i can share the video my friend told me

i have open 76 amorphous with the 6% Energy Activator Blueprint (farming other thing in the same time) and i still didnt drop one ( exept the 2 they offer while doing the campain) it is painfull i'm playing with 2 friends one got 2 and he has less playtime and the second play more but got 8 and he is WAY ahead of the drop xD (good for him). It is hard to stay on the game because the Energy Activator Blueprint lock you behind build optimisation (weapon and descendant) Void reactor : they are completly unbalance. the 2 elite boss are ok but the other have WAY too much hp even in normal how a player in normal ca ndo that ? you have to die to refill ammo or use explosives aroudn to kill the boss

Like most games, there's always a large quantity of players that don't know how to actually go deep within their builds. Always no matter what, have more than just your 1 primary source of ammo in a build. Use more than 1 weapon type. I understand that you may get drops of weapon ammo more than the primary source that you want. But players don't know how to handle playing more than 1

I think whats going on with drop rate numbers is that there is 5 item to drop right ? each one of them have 100% drop rate totall. If there is 5 items and one of them have 6% drop rate , chances are not 6 in 100 but its 6 in 500 , in that case real drop rate gonna be 1.2 in 100 , its not like 6% for ultimate and 94% for others , its 5 items right there actually

I think alot of Descendants run out of ammo because they forget to use theyre powers, they just run around like its call of duty all day. Use your powers in your rotation and dont use the same ammo type on guns in your loadout and you should be fine!

They all have at least 2 sources, you can check in the game itself where they drop. Some you can obtain with 100% drop at the end of a dungeon, some can be farmed from outposts but then you need void shards to summon the boss which actually have better chances than normal / hard mode bosses.

Catalyst should be 25% and 30%, as an essential item, 15% and 20% is crazy. Energy activators, either halve the price or 15% to 20%. I know it's wishful thinking. However games like this never cash in when they get popular and just let the player numbers plummet.

It's a looter shooter the drop rates are always bad in looter shooters. The issue I have is do mission X and wait 5 minutes and do it again. It is very boring and not very good game design. Do mission x then go to mission y to get shards then go to mission z to open mission x loot. It's all fine if you are used to these kinds of games but that 5 minute wait in between is shit gameplay. Not all the drops has a boss you can farm for mission x loot. I feel all drops should be locked behind missions where you can do one right after the other. That 5 minute timer is just to slow people down. I would prefer worse drop rates over the waiting game and in hard mode you are competing for more than one drop which makes that 5 minutes even worse.

This is what we have been talking about in discord and base on our experience this could be the case here but we just dont have enough "data" to really know what is happening. There is other possibility how system could work and this is the tracking system in game. I had ultime ajax, divine punishment and Nazeistra's Devotion on that and hade problems to get all of those items.

@@LaNSa90 I'm more than positive they've implemented their parasitic patentet craps. If the sytems sees ur trying and playing hard it will make it harder on you. So, for the time being I'll be away and focusing on work for a week or so, I'll see how will my drops be after. But indeed, it's pretty hard to check for these things without an "insider"...

they way nexon explains drop rates in previous games is if something has a 1 in 5 chance that chance resets every time and not accumulative so even if ya do it 5 times u might still not get it its part of their PATENTED drop thing .
