The original Airazor toy is also exempt, because it was the decision of the show creators that Airazor should be female. They decided the show needed more girls in it, and then picked one of the existing molds they'd been handed and decided it was as good as any. The toy itself was designed as male.

Actually I think there's a comic where the Tigerhawk is saved last minute by the vok and separated and Tigertron and Airazor are given transmetal foms. So in at least some way, we see her in transmetal mode.

The Armada remold/repaints are all wonderful, taking great molds and eliminating the flaky Transmetal paint. Unfortunately, those Armada versions were all limited releases and super expensive now.

I recall someone coming up with fanfiction online turning the Armada repaints into the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse. That's been my headcanon ever since. Agreed that they're great figures, highly recommended.

I loved the Transmetals - and when Airrazor came out, she quickly became one of my favorites. She was hands down the best bird-former in her era. Her transformation was unique and fun, she looked good in both modes, and again, for the time, she was crazy articulated. I know they wont, but honestly she would be a GREAT design to revisit in Legacy!

Really is a great figure. The engine covers kinda shift back a little for pontoon mode to expose the intakes. You mostly had it there. Also, closing up the bird's back over the front of the robot mode forms a sort of armoured mode which was in the instructions I believe. Sorta looks like she has an armoured cloak on. One day I wanna get the more purpley pink variant of this. It looks just as pretty.

Yes, the chrome parts were designed to close and tab together like a chest armor/shield. Kinda like MCU Falcons wings coming together, but leaving her head exposed. I don’t recall the so called cannons in robot mode being an official thing though.

My absolute favorite transmetal figure is Depthcharge, hands down. He was enormous, it did the land-air-sea trifecta with his three modes, and he had a unique transformation that was (to my knowledge) never repurposed. If you're in the mood for more then try and scope him out.

Transmetals was also the first time the toys were made in sync with the show. Up until then, you had toys made first and characters roughly inspired by them. These and Fusors were the first time the toys and show looked the same.

I have this one from when I was a kid, loved it. Transformation was as fun as you say. The chrome hasn't held up well on mine though. Last time I looked at it, it was starting to flake off really badly. Pontoon bird mode is weird though.

0.57 , Airazor didn't dies in Beast Wars Cartoon from 2006 ,what happen was that she & Tigatron were kidnapped by The VOK (creepy floating mask energy guys) & later it was reveal that the Vok were keeping the 2 of them in a form of stasis until near the end of the Beast Wars ,then the VOK merged the physically form Airazor and Tigatron together to create the powerful being Tigerhawk with 2 VOK possessing the merge body.,also before they merging those 2 body together they separated the sparks from the bodies ,,

This airrazor did appear ins some late 90s/early 2000s comics where she and tigatron(being a recolour of BW metals ravage) where resurrected by the vok in order to stop ravage and tanranchulus schemes

In the age of hyper-show-accuracy, idk if this would ever happen, but I'd love to see this design revisited but with the plane cockpit covering the head like what Transmetal Waspinator has, to make it a true triple-changer. Some propellers wouldn't go amiss, either, they could be 5mm-compatible feathers that detach from bird mode or something! Bump it up to Voyager and you could really have some fun with the engineering

I believe you are thinking of Armada Airazor. It is a very nice redeco. I've never heard it called Hellrazor, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was a fan name as it certainly fits the design.

I have two Transmetal Airazors. The original one OVP which came from a forgotten stock that hocks in a warehouse for 20 years and still in top condition for only 30€. Then the Fox Kids version in OVP to from a retro Toy Shop in Europe for only 45€. I will probably unpack the Fox Kids Airazor and my other Airazor becoms a submission for a grading.

Have this figure, she's great. Can't recall where I put her, but I have her! That said, the vehicle mode is just about the most pointless thing ever. it gives her the ability to land on and take off of water. I can't see many missions where she'd need to do that specifically. What specific, niche interaction requires a character, who normally scouts and reports back, or dives into combat from on high, to land on a stretch of water and take off from it? Very bizarre. I think you can justify most other Transmetal Vehicle forms. Cheetor's, Megatron's and Primal's grant flight, Rattrap's, Waspinator's and Tarantulus' vehicles gives speed over the beast forms' general utility and accuracy. Rhinox gets adaptation to snowy terrain (he looks like a snowmobile), Scavenger/Inferno gains a dedicated drilling form. Terrorsaur's is almost as pointless, but it might be a speed boost over agility, like with Rattrap's, Waspinator's and Tarantulus'. It's very ambiguous, but I think it's more useful than Airrazor's pontoons.

Yaaa another tfwiki error that was just added in April 2023 because political activists loves to alter history to suit it's needs. Beast wars in Japan had Air Razor as a young man (and yes with tigertron) but because she was in the movie and not thunderblast. They even labeled the term chug as racist and sexist before a administration just delated it because the person kept changing it. I do get that happy your not political in your show and this post is not a topic you should what to touch I am more upset the history of the Fandom is being changed.
