Yeah Vorkath is the QBD of osrs, and as far as a high level Zulrah boss, you can actually learn to prayer flick quite well learning to zulrah, especially during jad phase.

I agree with your rant, just wish they had more tweaks. If that huge red orb during the dark beast for example spawns when you're in melee distance, it lands on u in like 2 ticks. Pretty much nothing u can do except a brew sip and hope you're high eno health. Im hoping they fix all these things and raids 2 will be pretty enjoyable. I find it stupid that if you want to leave the raid after starting u either die and spend 100k or use the 75k tele ( effectively the same thing), instead of giving us the option to escape normally.

Perhaps a suggestion from a streamer would be to add a mini game chat for TOB to allow people without friends to find other teammates. Lesson to be learned is to make friends in game. Me and my friend are almost to raids content and it's fun to push eachother to get to that point

Mammal, I agree with you 100%. Society as a whole has demanded instant gratification for far too long in far too many fields. I've had a job since I was 5 and a full time job since I was 13. I had earned every console/tv/computer except for my og Xbox as a child working that job. Get gud! Learn the game more and thrive in it. The same plan for excelling in anything you want to do. Runescape helped to teach that lesson to me as a child. That and how small groups of people can fuck up an entire economy.

The old Xarpis, excluding the instant poison pool that I'm gonna say was unintended, was also stupidly easy. Just move 1 squre to the side when you are targeted, it's like playing Snake frame by frame, you can only die if you are stupid enough to get trapped and that is impossible if you are methodologically going line by line, going only horizontally until the line is full then shifting vertically 1 quare.

Only about 3% of guilds in WoW ever completed Naxxramas (the original end tier raid). Now, everybody raids and theres no challenge. I'm glad Theater of blood is fuckin hard, and I can't even kill sire myself.

My only thing is that a T-Bow is basically required to do it consistently... a tbow is pretty impossible for most people in the game... the raid itself doesn’t look terrible but tbow makes it easy

Not really, it is better to melee the final boss, the 2nd boss and part of the 5th boss and bp does fine on the first boss and decent on the 4th boss if hammers hit. Very good on 3rd boss as well

1st boss - okay it's best but boss also has like 0 def, so you can use acb 2nd boss - melee 3rd boss - mostly dps with bp on final phase 4th boss - okay fine but it's weak to stab as well. 5th boss - melee for most of it and acb with ruby bolts can hit 100s. Definitely not a req to have tbow. Although it does make it faster, but that's the point, higher level gear will make things easier.

It's hard for casual players, who don't have as much time to grind, in order to be able to access higher level content at the rate it's being put out. I think there needs to be some more mid-level content rather than always pushing high-level content. Keep up the good work, Mammal

Honestly i have no issue with raids 2 being capped at the level requirement that it is at. The issue i have is the finance cap/party size needed to even attempt it. I consider myself to be alright at the game but just because My friends themselves don't play anymore or are casual and have fallen behind level wise makes it extremely difficult to find a team that will take you if you don't have a t bow.

Bottom line is you can never I mean never please anyone! Their business revolved around making ToB for the top percentile of hardcore players! I agree that a lot of players, myself included can’t attempt ToB because of various reasons - the main one being: the gear (TBow). But as with previous bosses and raids etc there will eventually come a META on how to do any type of content for different types of players, for example with ToB using 100m - 200m gear for ToB. Personally, I believe ToB is brilliant and I would love to attempt it some day, content like this will stay around for quite abit. Main point I’m trying to make is: if you’re playing a game casually, then don’t bitch and moan about newer content that is specifically for the top 1%.

Would usually not respond, but awesome footage :) hitting the note on the end; I personally was one of the sceptics even before you guys went to Jagex, most of you play this game daily and many hours at that, its basically your job. You are probably the top 0.1% skilled and knowledgeable players out there. I would have loved to see raids not be the end game content, but enjoyable for a majority of the playerbase. They never stated it would be harder than raids 1 or really anything about its difficulty, but only listening to the top 0.1% felt like it was going to be another inferno (hence we now have all of reddit circlejerking over how its meant to be endgame content). And voila, we get this thing that now seems quite do-able but is very inaccessible if you are not maxed combat or dont have a friendgroup of 5 that are all motivated and have the stats to do it. First I was frustrated over the difficulty, now I'm frustrated because I cant even try it without being dead weight untill I've properly learned it, which essentially gets you no where cause no one will take you without experience (is in party my own fault, was on vacation during the launch).

Oh inb4 the rewards are endgame so the content must be endgame; BS just lower the droprate and make it overall a pleasant experience (which it seems?) which players dont mind doing time and time again. The rewards then keep their pricetag, but you wouldn't exclude all the people under 90 combat stats.

A group of decent players got through pretty much the whole raid first try. Obviously if it wasn’t for the bug they wouldn’t have. But having the entirety of raids 2 figured out after the first few tries would’ve been a joke of an update. And for such high level gear it could’ve fucked up the game majorly

The fact that it is to hard doesn't really matter. What's the problem is that they keep adding levels of difficulty to the game to satiate the hardcore fans' need for something to do because they've already done it all. If they keep adding higher-level content you will end up with a chaotic game without any structure or backstory. People will only focus on the new content and everything previous will go dead. The discrepancy between hardcore and casual players will become so big that eventually casual players will leave the game altogether because it has changed so much. This is exactly what happened to RS3, the playerbase completely eroded and now it's left with few casual players. Or at least a fraction of what it once had. It's what many players fear right now: RS changing the game by adding many new things just because the hardcore players have already done everything.

I just watched this video again and seriously the end argument to this is so flawed.. the argument basis here is that some of the most talented/time devoted osrs players think it is not challenging. I agree with the fact that this is end game content 100% and I know that I need to grind more for the ability/gear to be able to complete this. I am capable of practicing over time to achieve the rank and everything to be able to attempt this, and I can accept that I am not there, and sure, I can search and maybe find someone eventually. Although, I do not have a large pool of individuals as a steamer to just pull from, willing to attempt these things with me. I felt that all the way through this video up until you decided to rant about this as if you guys aren't some of the most capable people in this game doing it as a full time job..I still appreciate your content Mammal, but I do not truthfully understand the logic behind that argument...

Dalibor Okoro It also makes it more annoying for plenty of people. They want to play the game, not spend what little time they may have to play the game on standing around trying to find a team. If it would scale at least they could go in solo if they couldn't find a team quickly instead of wasting their time trying to find a team. Plus now you basically need 5 people. If it scaled people would still go in teams but the lower the amount of people on a team the easier to find. It is basically the same reason people wanted the grand exchange back. They were standing around for 2 hours trying buy all the stuff they needed when they had 2-3 hours of playtime in a day. That really makes you want to quit the game.

rants n' rambles I agree about the twisted bow. The OSRS team has done a relatively good job dealing with power creep except the TB. When it came out the argument was that it will always be super expensive so it's not OP but it's plainfully obvious that with new content they have to balance around the TB or else the rich will steam roll the content therefore making it harder on people that can't afford the expensive gear. Not only is it making power creep but it is creating a divide between players.

Pak Yaks held too much and weren't expensive enough. If the item needed to make them was something that had a decent value and they held about half the capacity it wouldn't be that bad.

@zemeenee57 I 100% agree I'd love to have it back. with things like Minotaurs being BiS. (because steel titans made clans even worse in pvp and made crashing people in pvm too easy) I was in love with the skill until i hit that wall in the 70s where it was tons and tons of shards per level. And then those top tier summons redefined broken. I laugh now thinking about how essential rune pouch is even though it only saves 2 spots! its worse than the slug which was like 20 summoning! But my dream account was a summoning tank...I loved those vids and my dream was crushed all over again with the serp helm rework. Im not a fan of shameless money sinks like shards either tbh...I prefer it to feel natural like degradable items. Although if they reversed it (free to train/expensive to use) I'd be okay with that. Maybe instead off offering the item to the obelisk. when you needed to summon it opened like mage book and you used the item and the shard to "cast a spell" so to speak to spawn the creature. Other skills seem "free" if you did it "the right way" rune craft the runes to train magic or slay for runes.. wood cut to FM. But swapping gold for shards just felt lazy

Flawed end of video argument for this topic(and I do not even play Runescape anymore.) The problem with your argument is, TOB is not solo content! If you suck, you can not find a team. If you can not find a team, you can not practice. If you can not practice, you can not get better. If you can not get better, you can not find a team. See where this is going? Number two, if the majority of people are all in this circumstance, it is not really a problem, because everyone else is on your skill level and the likelihood of being recruited is higher, but what about as time goes on? A casual player loses this “starting” opportunity because the majority of pvmers have already progressed to the “experienced” level at TOB. End result: Casual players, in team based pvm content, THAT IS GEARED TOWARDS THE TOP X PERCENT, become bottom feeders!! Jagex should have prioritized fixing this problem FIRST before relying on advice from the top x percent to make their content more difficult. That is the real issue in all of this, and Mammals counter argument about “practicing” to improve, holds no true weight. Share your thoughts, anyone?

There will always be noobs to practice with, it's just the same with raids 1. As soon as groups of people figured out mechanics, those same people teamed together leaving the others behind. Just means you have to keep finding teams to push forward or join a pvm clan. Eventually there will be a ton of guides and the raids will become second nature.

Will Jackson I'm an operation manager for a large wood processing plant. I'm not saying there's no way to make it perfect, it's far from it. I'm saying there's no way to please the hardcore players while also pleasing the casuals. Sure it's hard to find a good team now but give it a week or two and there will be tons of teams. Making the raid more difficult will keep the item prices high and keep the high level pvmers for weeks to come. If it was too easy it would be dead content in a week or two.
