As I mentioned on the video from that massive collection, we just moved from just north of Melbourne, FL back to Kansas where my wife is from. It's a great area there. We lived in Cocoa. Five miles from Kennedy Space Center. We saw all the rocket launches that happened from our front yard. We miss seeing those. Safe travels James

The homologated road GT3 is supercharged, has 250 more hp and could possibly beat the race car on track.BOP kills the bigger, taller and heavier car on tight twisties. The race car is NA and loses on tight turns and coming out of the corner acceleration. The road car will be nice for taller owners. It`s a shame that the won`t win a race in IMSA or in Europe but they might be more competitive over in WEC which is strange since people would think they would get a "home field" advantage,nope.

Ford does a thorough interview with the prospective buyer asking many questions regarding its intended use, etc. Depending on how he answers those questions, he might have a chance at it but will have to wait and see. As an example, the same justification requirements were used for the 3rd. gen. Ford GT. More than 9,000 had the funds for it, but less than 1,600 met all the requirements of the scrutineering portion of the application!

@sneezinhatch - Instead of making ridiculous, absurd, totally untrue statements like that, you might want to try and read up on all that has gone into this car so you can appreciate what it REALLY is, instead of guessing at it. Example: It will not be sold through any dealership, but from Ford Corporate, so there will be no markup. The same process as the 3rd gen. Ford GT. You couldn't build the frame and suspension for twice the price! Really, do some good old fashioned reading on the design, engineering and development of this super car and you won't be making such uneducated comments!

11:28 This guy is clueless... The motor and trans are nothing like the GT3 car.... The GTD is a 5.2 supercharged predator motor with a rear mounted DCT transaxle... The GT3 is a 5.4 NA motor with a sequential single clutch Xtrac gearbox... Marketing people are the absolute worst.... Nothing about the GTD is similar to the Mustang GT3.... Not even close... The GTD is also like 1500 pounds heavier... Such a rediculous statement for a Ford rep to make.... It's basically a S550 GT500 with a carbonfiber widebody kit and wing and s650 styling.... Not like the GT3 at all.

Gtds weight is 1480KG wich is odly the same weight as the gt3RS.
