The universe was once in a state that was too hot or too cold for life. In time the universe partitioned into different areas and temperate zones formed. In the temperate zones bacteriological entities or "sweat" began to develop. All life developed from this sweat. Yup, that's modern Science. 🌟

I never worry about Buri because I get stuck at one of the first cosmic beings being Auðumbla the primeval Cow. Who sired Auðumbla? Ymir just appears, sees a cow and drinks her milk? So she was pregnant? Ymir had never seen a baby, so how did he know that was a good idea? Did he also sample her other fluids and solids she left behind in her wake?

From my impression, I assumed that Ymir came from the melted ice being licked/melted by the cow, making him a sort of primordial as well? Or maybe there are missing stories that explain this

@@stenkongas1020 Even there there are some things that are less clear. Some stories have Nifelheim (the world of ice) and Muspelheim (fire) existing very near the beginning, with the empty void Ginungagap and Yggdrasil and definitely before Ymir's death. He was licked out of the ice in Nifelheim. Odin, Vili and Ve later killed Ymir and made the rest of "the world" from his body parts, but it is not clear what realms that included. In fact even the identity of the nine realms seems like it evolved over time (and certainly seems to be unclear from the different stories). There were always nine, in the sources I have read, but it seems that the dwarves and elves being separate was a later addition, as was probably the realm of Hel, which was likely a part of another realm. I agree Ymir was licked out of the ice, but why start your universe with a cow, and did she impregnate herself? Did Ymir impregnate her? Cows don't produce milk until after they are impregnated. Obviously, there is no "scripture" of Norse mythology, so not every story is consistent with they other story, but I wonder how much we've lost that might help better explain Norse "creation" mythology.

@pfc_church
@pfc_church Жыл бұрын
@@blacksabbath5300 Sorry for the long comment. Its meant to explain why the use of the first mover argument appears out of place even if the channel made a sound argument. Its just a valid one. How he presented the connection to first mover premise is not the common understanding of how old mythologies developed. nearly all of academics shows the liner progression of worship of nature to explain what was not understood, to ancestor worship, to mono theology. that was very overly simplistic but the point stands. Thomas's ideas did not come from the same place for the creation of Norse gods. Norse gods were in charge of things. Ymir is a evolution from the universe being nesscery to explain what the earth and other things are made of. If this channel wanted to be accurate the first mover was the universe its self. Yggrsil did not have a origin. elements from Niflheim, Muspelheim evolved to create Ymir. Many very old Polytheism stems from gods forming from a nebulas universe. Much later the nebulous Universe needed a creator god instead of being the origin of everything itself. That only pushed the problem back so another was made for that god so on, and so on. Thomas said logically that cant be the case. Accept its not logical to assume that cant be case or that any first mover is necessary to explain anything we know now at all. The singularity always existing is also also a current solution. Granted Thomas didnt know about that but the logical fallacies were still pointed out to him during his time. His solution did not a answer to the first mover problem and the norse had no issue with first movers. Norse and many other polytheistic cultures had no problem with adding new gods when the question was asked where who was the lighting gods creator. that would be explained so on and so forth. that just keep adding and subtracting. This normally terminated when all natural phenomenon and everything see explained. Nothing Thomas said made a first mover necessary.

These are real historical stories told in metaphorical/ancient prophetical format. These are stories are 'down to earth' mortal accounts that follow a massive flood in the Tarim Basin of western China. The survivors of this flood beached on the highest peak of the Kush mountains who came westward and built the first city west of the Himalayan mountains in prsent day Kabul Afganistan - the origin of the old silk roads and the administrative facility that built the Indus Valley civilization.

I've always viewed the Norse myth as a type of cautionary tale on many levels. To me the entire story of Odin is one of being careful of the karmic seeds you sow throughout life. The EL...Elohim=Sumerian god's Enki, Enlil and the master geneticists What is the myth of Enki and Ninmah? Can I just say all of the stories ever told originated in some part of the truth. Every "Belief/Religion has common ground. "Mythology" is the archaic term that has been replaced by "conspiracy theories". The only reason to disagree I would say is due this fact. We haven't compromised on the details that are held onto by individuals. Like the big issue with AI, not to mention the matrix. Why the fear? If AI gets out of hand, it sounds like the theme behind the garden of Eden. Whether you find yourself existing in a matrix or "reality" they both operate in the same principles. That's I guess where the choice is

The problem is with most of these mythologies is that tradition was handed down through bards another words through word-of-mouth and training the human mind has the capacity for 2.5 Petra bytes which is 2.5 million Gigs or 2500 terabytes.... So when the Christians came along and murdered and rampaged all across Europe killing and butchering in the name of their middle eastern God and everybody being forced to submit at the end of a sword that all these treasure troves of information were lost either through assimilation or murder.... Everything that we have now information wise is a few Christian scholars that decided to write down a fraction of this information... The Eddas and other writings don't even make up . 025 of the information that was contained within this civilization and their elders and their bards and their Fathers and sons that learned all of these through oral tradition and teaching.... If there was any writings than the Christians would have burnt them just like they burnt and destroyed the library of Alexandria. The wickedness of Christianity and it's too sister religions Judaism and especially Islam have been responsible for the destruction of huge magnificent swaths of History and information all in the name of their false gods.... So Buri no doubt had a much richer and prolific mythology but unfortunately all of the blood on the Christians hands long ago has deprived all of us now.... Imagine if we could have had access to many of these people and all of the vast knowledge... Truly truly a deep travesty!!

Norse mythology has been corrupted by christian cult. Odin father; Buri was first created man called Helios by Greek, Osiris in Egypt, his mother/wife was Frigga/Eos/Isis. From Egyptian mythology, these were the first 3 created by RA and first 3 created by Phanes. The Olympian gods claim humans were created from the body of Ymir after defeat just as Greek. However, it was Ymir who sacrificed solar body to create and concealed explosion to the planet after mars. Ymir spirit reincarnates as Surtur/Saturn/Satan/Lucifer with blood poison with iguana, birds and goat but memory loss from the explosion. Surtur thought of Ymir in 2nd pronoun and spread teachings about creation, when Surtur almost discovered His identity as Ymir/Chaos/RA, Odin/Zeus mounted a strong rebellion and trick all mankind to war against Satan dissolving back to source:nothing. Baba Vanga said The Gods will 'send'the dragon back to light the sky his tail shall crack and all shall run both king and serf. When Body of Ymir about to explode, Host of Primal Elemental Quantum Lights:Angels emanated to form New Body of Ymir. This Body is what Odin and all religion founders want to claim. They somehow believe they are stronger than Ymir/Chaos whose Name/Destiny means Nothing. When Lücïfër reborn, it's left to Him to study and regain past using Extra sensory perception. The 7 Seals will open and Host will appear...
