My take is the difference between angels and demons is whether they are welcome into their father's house. They are otherwise identical. Which makes sense, why would they change dramatically just because they got turned out for being unwilling to serve? More likely they were already the way they are described and just got their unflattering traits focused on once they no longer had their father's protection.

Tbh, as far as associations with good and evil is concerned, and even if we try to speak in terms of the Christian bible, not even Lucifer was stated as a literal demon. And human illnesses being classified as "demons" were probably just the bible's way of referring to human inconveniences as evil... Not like... Literal demons. Impossible as Demons are not Fallen Angels..Demons are the disembodied unclean spirits of the Nephilim..
