Love to see so many different opinions! I really have to admit that this case kinda grew on me! One important aspect: This case is EXTREMELY HARD to crack!!! PSA slabs are a joke compared to this and also BGS is very easy to crack compared to this ARS Case!! I did crack all 3 slabs and I can assure you, cracking an ARS Case without damaging your card is very very HARD! Not recommended! So just grade cards you are going to keep in this slab 🥰

They look like how pieces of art would be framed, with the label at the bottom instead of on the top, which would make it seem like a collectible instead. Though the negative thing is if you put them into a box upward, it would be harder to see it’s label

I actually really like the ARS cases. I’ve never graded cards myself so maybe I’m biased. But I like what strictly sealed said that their case allows the focus to remain on the card and not the grade. Also their their design is very clean.

I like that there is a localized option in Japan. They may have a hard time competing with the bigger companies like PSA but I hope the quality will draw in more customers.

It is Great to see a slightly different approach to grading - personally I like the slabs ! They look so different , almost like a Trophy . Also , personally I get a bit annoyed at PSA , Beckets making errors on labels for Japanese - LN- E,A,T,H ....... labelled as I N A L ( 2 sets incorrectly labelled ) - Pegasus deck Kingdom Cards --- Labeled from 3 sections of PSA . Becketts - cards can move in the case . Maybe with Japanese people grading the cards , the cards may be labelled correctly !! THX for sharing !!

I actually prefer seeing the label at the bottom since you’ll see the card first unlike with other graded cards where the first thing you see would be the grade but I do wish they could switch places of their logo from the front with the grade on the back

I like the grade on the back. Allows you to focus on the card first and foremost without worrying about a number.

I‘m honest: i dont really like grading. But the ARS Case looks exactly Right for displaying your Favorite Card at Home. Really like the Design of the label!

i would grade my cards with ars over psa or bgs any day. i would prefere the grade on the front but the slabs still look so much better.

I would agree with the others that the focus on the card is higher and that is great, the label is neat and clean. But I would also agree that the empty space is too much for Japanese size cards. Obviously it would be better for Pokémon cards, which is also an issue with some German companies that use the same slabs for both and yugioh is obviously smaller, so it looks weird.

I am Japanese. I have asked ARS for an appraisal several times. The only disappointment is that the letters on the plate are hard to see! Also, centering is not important, so I think it's different from other appraisals.

honestly i like it a lot! framing some cards to decorate a room with these slabs surely will look very good! im thinking cyber dragon, cyber twin, cyber end in that order next to eachother will look so clean while focussing on the card and not the grade!

Late to the party but these ARS slabs definitely look better aesthetically than all other options out there, including CGC (the colour of CGC labels are bit too random/cartoony, doesn't feel serious even though it's also super clean). But here's why I think people will probably still prefer PSA: - Primary issue is the ARS slabs are too thick, it complicates stacking/storage. These were probably intended for trophy-style display, instead of primarily collection purposes. - Common issue across grading industry but, adding anything other than whole numbers 1 to 10 is shooting yourself in the foot. PSA 10 means a lot because it is "generally gem mint", BGS black label or ARS 10+ may truly be superior, but it is next to impossible to build any kind of complete collection with a consistent-looking grade labels. All the .5s or non 10+ will look and more importantly feel bad.

Das Label ist auch top, man muss sich nur daran gewöhnen das es unten ist aber ich muss sagen, es hat auch was 😏 Wäre nicht schlecht wenn man es sich aussuhen könnte ob man den Grade vorne oder hinten haben will. Aber schön das es sowas jetzt auch in Japan gibt 👍🏻

Having the label on the bottom should have been the case with ANY grading company. The focus is on the card, the label is a plus. Not the label is the focus and the card is the plus.

Ich muss sagen mir gefallen die Cases richtig gut, das Label unten stellt für mich die Karte mehr in den Vordergrund was mich bis jetzt immer gestört hat bei geradeten Karten. Das Grade auf der Rückseite finde ich auch besser, wenn man die Karten in der Vitrine stehen hat lenken diese bloß ab, ich will ja die karte sehen und mich dran erfreuen, das Grade ist da zweitrangig für mich.

Drei Sachen die mir an ARS nicht gefallen: 1. Keine Subgrades: Als Sammler möchte ich wissen, wie die Gradingfirma auf die Note gekommen ist und an welcher Stelle der Karte es Probleme gibt. 2. Keine 0.5 Abstufungen: mag ich persönlich lieber, da einige Karten keine 10 sind, zwar nahezu perfekt sind aber nicht auf einem 9er Niveau liegen 3. Keine Sleeve im Case und kein Abstand zum Rand: kommt es da nicht zu Fehlern beim einpressen, sodass Karten beschädigt werden könnten? Viele Sammler cracken ihre Karten nach dem ersten subben aus dem Case raus, stelle ich mir bei ARS schwer vor. ABER! Danke für dieses detaillierte Video. Das Label sieht heftig aus im close up! Auch deine anderen Argumente kann ich gut nachvollziehen. Karten aus meiner Kindheit oder Karten die nicht perfekt sind kann ich mir sehr gut vorstellen, mit einem ARS Case aufzustellen. Problem ist jetzt nur, wie kann ich aus Deutschland einsenden :)

Dann ist glaub ich die einzige Gradingfirma die für dich in Frage kommt BGS. Ich kann verstehen dass 0.5 Abstufungen Sinnvoll sein können. Optisch schön finde ich sie aber nicht. Da die Karte wie gesagt im Case eingelassen ist und oben quasi ein Deckel drauf kommt kann die Karte nur beschädigt werden wenn die Karte nicht richtig liegt. Quasi eingeklemmt wird. Das wird nicht passieren. Die Karte ist absolut sicher. Cracken kann man die Cases schon. Habe ich schon gemacht. Allerdings ist das deutlich schwieriger und aufwenidger als bei PSA und BGS die gehen ja mit dem richtigen Werkzeug binnen Sekunden auf. Du kannst bei ARS nur als Japaner einsenden oder wenn du selbst in Japan lebst. Ich denke das wird auch noch ne Weile so bleiben bis die groß genug sind. Nachfrage haben die nämlich aktuell zu viel.

@@BilingualJP the ARS 1 similar to PSA, the card slot is very small, a bit worry that they might hurt my cards during the grading process, but their case is really clear, feels premium in hand, but putting the score at the back just feels a bit weird to me, need to turn the card everytime if one want to show off their score
