This is the first ever Lambeau Leap, from 1993. Leroy Butler runs the ball in for a touchdown after catching a lateral from Reggie White!
Video from NBC, audio from the Packers radio broadcast of Jim Irwin and Max Mcgee.
Update 9/7/16: Thanks to the Steve Czaban & Bob & Brian for noticing this video! None of the Ginger Hammer's goon squad has shown up at my door yet! 1029thehog.com/bob-and-brian/9...

Nice little story someone might enjoy reading.. When I was a kid in middle school in Wisconsin, I was a 'Troubled child'...constantly in trouble, in and out of school suspensions, in and out of jail. Didn't care about anything, really. Was on a bad path. Well, one day we're told that an NFL player named LeRoy Butler was coming to the school to give a motivational speech of some sort. I don't know what the speech was, because, as was common back then, I had done something stupid and was punished by not being allowed to attend the event. Since all the teachers were at the auditorium for the event, I was told to sit in the School Office while it was going on.. Well, I'm sitting there moping and just being an angry kid, when all of a sudden, Leroy Butler walks into the Office. The event was over so he went to the Principles office for one reason or another, and he noticed me sitting there. He asked if I was at the event, and I told him No, I was told to sit in the Office as punishment for something I had done (I don't remember)..he ended up talking about how he himself had a troubled Childhood and was always getting in trouble, making life difficult for himself and those around him. He talked about his experiences growing up, and how he realized that how he was acting was not going to get him far in life and that he was basically setting himself up for failure. So he decided to change his life for the better and ended up going to college, which led to him playing in NFL. That it was difficult to change his bad habits, but he eventually did through hard work and dedication, and his life improved dramatically after DECIDING to improve his life. He didn't scold me or ignore me..he sympathized with me. *He related to me.* He showed me that life is what you make it. You can be angry and upset and live an angry, upsetting life, or you could make the decision to be happy and positive, and live a happy and positive life. We only spoke for maybe 2-3 minutes, but it changed my life for the better because he told me EXACTLY what I needed to hear at that stage in my life. I wanted to have that passion for life that I seen in him. His willingness to open up to me about his similar childhood and how he overcame it, changed me for the better. That interaction resulted with me DECIDING to make my life better rather than be resentful and bitter about my rough upbringing. He put it into a perspective that I could relate to and understand. I don't know where I would be if he didn't do that for me, to be completely honest. Well, after the talk, he ended up giving me a photo of his (Since I couldn't get one at the event) signed it for me with a message saying "Stay Positive" then we shook hands, said farewells and parted ways.. *Moral of the Story is this: When you meet someone who you think deserves the least attention and affection (such as the brash, aggressive, asshole, troublemaker kid that I was); those are the type of people that often need attention and affection the most. One small act of kindness can change someones life for the better, even if it seems like they don't **_'deserve'_** affection. Even if it feels like an impossible goal, try to empathize with the 'Troubled people' as best as you can. They not be receptive in that moment, but it WILL stick with them. Be kind to one another, no matter what differences you may have. And equally as important: No matter what you've been through in life, you can be happy and prosper if you make the decision to. Don't stand in your own way on the path to happiness.* The other lesson from this story? *Leroy Butler is a fucking Legend.* He has forever earned my respect and appreciation as a kind and considerate person. Try to be kind, understanding and empathetic to one another, folks. Take care.
