The first ever BETA gameplay footage of the upcoming SIREN HEAD Minecraft horror mod. Shoutout to the homie ‪@Arrenek‬ for joining me. The mod is inspired by Trevor Henderson's Siren Head creature (obviously), and is developed by the creators of the Dangers In The Darkness mod, and directed / coordinated by me.
The Public Beta for the mod is coming tomorrow on May 5th 2024.

Yo boyz, in case the video seems a bit choppy most of the time, thats because like 90% OF THE RECORDED FOOTAGE WAS CORRUPTED AND I HAD TO MANUALLY DELETE EVERY SINGLE CORRUPTED FRAME FROM THE VIDEO WHICH TOOK LIKE 10 HOURS. Excellent man. A suggestion, when he’s actively trying to hide he should be completely still for a short time, otherwise even at night he’s easy to point out behind trees and sh Also if people have a gun mod installed they can mow down wardens in like 10 seconds, so if he doesn’t have like 3000+ health he’ll get pieced up the same way imo

suggestions: siren head doesnt spawn for the first 2 days, this is so it can feels like he "found" you, 2: siren head can toy with players by running for no reason, 3: siren head will throw a dead or alive mob at the players,

maybe you should make it so that the sirenhead spawns less often because he seems to spawn every night and it might get a bit repititive over time. maybe give him stalking behaviours/quieter noise? maybe lull the player into a false sense of security

this looks excellent so far! i love the concept of being able to track him with sound but being unable to see him well through the trees. i also really appreciate how he isn’t constantly attacking, but spends a lot of time lurking - that’s worlds better for building really strong tension.

Idea for the siren head mod: Ok so you guys know how your trying to keep your siren head as accurate to the lore well here’s an idea for ye Siren head should have variants for different biomes or for villages where instead of him having a siren head should turn into Light head a monster similar to siren head but with a lamp post for a head and maybe add the six sirens variant where he’s bigger stronger and more powerful and is an almost instant attacker where he starts blaring his sirens and when he does that the player gets the wither effect and maybe you add different skins for the different variants that spawn in different biomes like e.g Jungle biomes: siren head has vines all along his body and he looks a bit more aged looking as this version has been living in the jungle for Long time and it acts more curious than aggressive as it study’s the player’s actions Snowy biomes: siren head has snow covering his body like his back his shoulders and his sirens and maybe he has icicle forming under his Sirens and this version acts like the regular siren head Swamp biomes: this version is like the jungle one except for it looking aged and it’s a bit more dark greenish brown Dessert and mesa biomes: these versions are more starved looking and are a bit more taller and skinny (Man I,m killed) anywho that’s my idea now that sounds like a lot but hey it’s just an idea you don’t have to do it if you want but hey ya never know if it might come in handy anywho that’s all I got to say bye

These are really awesome concepts but sirenheads are usually found in forests where they are camoflaged so a siren head in the desert and mesa would go against the point of it being camoflaged and hidden

​@@tuytgthetheth3154 well there's a photo that Trevor Henderson made of siren head in the desert and he is almost some what blending in with the telephone poles there plus it could be some what of a more aggressive siren head that well almost instantly try,s to attack the player plus if you think about it jungles are somewhat like forests and some of the threes are bigger than the jungle siren head plus this variant is somewhat more smaller than the og so it can blend in more plus I've seen many different things siren head can do plus i even have a siren head plush so there ya go Also i know some of these concepts are wacky but hey the siren head mods we got on bedrock are wacky so why not do some like that ya know?

y'know some parts of this mod made me unsure but after seeing it in action I am completely sold the leaves breaking I thought was gonna be just a little annoying for harvesting, but seeing a few of the chases where you had to weave in and between leaves, that's great I thought his idle was too obvious; I was very wrong, in fact, the idle is there so you can actually see him the mimicking sounds that the team chose are great, with pet animals, a news broadcast and disc 13 (that one is evil, especially on multiplayer) the screenshake doesn't seem too excessive which is nice. it's noticeable enough to be a thing, but not too much to be a 'thing thing' y'know. an option to disable it is always nice but if not, it's not hindering you gaslighting Arren was also funny you're so mean , also the crawling and swimming is just good so siren head really can't be escaped easily, while still providing options, like a small enough cave best part though is seeing siren head in the world just chilling. like, i wish more mods had something like that, some could argue it takes away from the scare factor but knowing that it lives here also can build up the actual chase. and how it disappears without y'know, disappeaing into thin air is done super well cuz I can't point out a time that you could notice it. best one when you just hear the footsteps getting further and further away. the slam attack also was insane and I love it only suggestion: just have Siren head randomly pick up and eat a cow at day or zombie at night to really sell Siren head as not just an enemy for the player, but a living breathing monster in game. seeing it is cool but might wear off as you know it's out there, coming for you. seeing it kill another mob occasionally would really add to the experience at least imo. but if you shipped the mod as it is now, it would still be insane

Just an idea for a feature for Siren Head. How scary would it be if Siren Head had a 'Calculated Stalking' phase, where it would slowly stalk the player. It would make almost no sound aside from subtle footsteps, but when it gets close, it will chose if or when it will break cover and attack. Sometimes it will attack almost immediately after getting close, other times it might not attack at all to the point the player could even collide with it and not be attacked. Either way, if and when it breaks out of this 'Calculated Stalking' phase would be entirely Siren Head's choice.

This mod gives me manbear vibes! Quick suggestion, make it so that it stalks the player for the like, 3 nights while making distant sounds until the 4th night where it Can be spotted and make closer sounding noises.

I know its late but I have some suggestions: blood ,scratches, and some torn wool can be found on trees as a reference to the OG game, animals you are farming or just around your base will go missing, if an animal with a name tag you put on dies Siren Head will mimic it more often to mess with you, very rare chance he spawns with a block with 4 torches on it on his head like the ones in villages, and he can mimic juke/note blocks if you put one down and played it

This mod is already looking awesome! Now i´ll proceed to leave my two ideas for it: 1-For chase purposes, maybe you could have SH sometimes do that charge on all fours attack it had in one of the games (sorry but I don´t remember the exact name).It would be scary and would allow it to not get stuck between tree logs all the time. 2-Maybe you could make it so that it narrates what you´re doing for a short in a radio narrator manner (this could be to signal that it´s nearing you or your current base). I hope you like them and I´m sure this will be a GOATED horror mod!

This is one of the most unique and original horror mods to come out. One suggestion: maybe make him able to break your house, like not at the same tiem but block by block, so tthe player isnt safe in the house and he constantly needs to get away from the sirenhead

Hmmm i feel like the chase sound should get changed that sound its not very scary also should make his footstep more louder the more he gets close to you and i think siren head needs to stop moving and dont make a sound more frequently to give that dead silence at night for some time other than that it looks AMAZING.

Use Rubidium or Embeddium, they are Forge ports of Sodium, it's what we used!
