This winning song and its interpreter would later be sent to the 1978 Seoul Song Festival. This song also won the grand prize there as well as best interpreter award for Hajji Alejandro so no matter what anyone may say, there's no doubt that the judges here made the best decision.

I was a UPCC member in the later years. Hanggang local performances at recording ng international tour album nga lang ako during my batch. But I am content and happy kasi magugulo talaga ang course completion ko. Ibang International (post grad abroad) ang binigay ng Dios instead sa akin, at na complete ko ng less delay ang UP course ko.

I hope they will upload all the Metropops. It is the Golden Age of Pilipino Music. Imee Marcos pioneered and chaired this festival. Every year, this festival was the biggest event in the Philippines from 1977 to 1984. Araneta Coloseum was packed (50-60,000) every year. And almost everybody was watching on TV.

The 1st Metro Pop was never equaled as far as multiple quality songs which all became commercial hits and the Hajji Seoul entry which got the Grand Prize. Anak was born.
