Basically both Blue and Hayley were awful people. They were both manipulative, supported toxic relationships, and were just generally bad people. It really sucks, because they brought in some of the greatest jokes, and it makes some people feel a bit guilty for laughing at some jokes or being impressed by their voice acting. I always want to compliment Hayley's quick switch between Knuckles and Amy in Riders ("Not your corpus colossom!" "My corpus colossom, that's right!") but I feel bad complimenting it because of who said it. I wish people could just be good.

@Mason Allen I think it was just the inherent humor of explosions, being as blunt and loud as they are, interrupting whatever Shadow was about to say about Maria - or, otherwise, he was speaking very seriously and dramatically just with that name, and then the explosion wildly changed the tone of the situation, which itself is pretty funny.
