1972 to 1982 - actually. Top six every season apart from 1977-78 when they won the FA Cup. Came runners up twice and won UEFA Cup.

Will we ever see a team and a manager like this again?

I am not an Ipswich fan but they had some awesome players.

Probably the best side in England in 1980-81 and Europe. But played 67 games in four competitions and squad too small. Ended up winning just European trophy but should have won league and fa cup.

Bobby's biggest strength was his man management. His players would run through brick walls for him.

Not just that. He was able to develop players.

Sir Bobby and sir alf would be so proud of how we are playing now. Our current manager reminds me so much of sir Bobby and the way he conducted his self and the way he treats our players. He gave me great memories and now mckenna is starting to give us that same feel good factor sir Bobby did

I was lucky to be a regular at Portman Road in the early 80`s- what great memories. Football is finished for me now.

Bobby Robson's last season at ITFC was 1981-82. Perhaps this documentary was released in 1983.
@mrkipling22013 жыл бұрын
I think it was. It’s definitely the 1981/82 season because that’s when they played Aberdeen in the UEFA cup.
@kevinhanson47033 жыл бұрын
It was 81-82 because murhran was still there because in 83 he'd moved to man utd
@MarlboroughBlenheim12 жыл бұрын
This was 81-82 as Robson was England manager by 1983

At half time Tottenham we’re leading at Anfield, sadly for Ipswich both games finished 3-1 and neither went their way!

If he hadn't gone down to Fulham instead of playing for Newcastle he might not have gone to Ipswich having been sacked at Fulham because he was the reason Ipswich were so good that my brother chose Ipswich and i followed

Didn't get on with the FA because he wasn't a yes man. He would not have picked a half fit Beckham for 2 World cups because of sponsorship demands.
@ay6133 жыл бұрын
Didn't he pick Bryan robson tho in 1986?
