I was about 12 years old when my dad took me to an air museum in California. Seemed like it was at the Santa Ana Airport. This airplane was there in rugged condition and I sat for quite awhile in the cockpit.

The forward fuselage is currently on display at the Planes of Fame museum at Chino, California.

@@88SC Ding-Ding, at 13-14 in the 80's I was a volunteer at Chino and would occasionaly help with moving, cleaning, and what not. It was in pretty bad shape then, but was such a cool aircraft and was sad that the history of it didn't warrant it being in much better shape.

B-50s had a fuel receptacle added next to the forward gun turret early in the production run. LLII might have been built before that point.

I'd like to know how many gallons of oil were used during the flight. Thats a lot of hours of running. Surprised, none of the engine had a failure. Thanks for an interesting lesson.

Thanks! I got the idea to do the video after visiting the Strategic Air Command Museum where they had a memorial dedicated to the KB-29 crew. You can see it in the comments section of the channel about a year ago. www.youtube.com/@AnyHistory/community
