Can't disagree, the marketing is brilliant, and that trailer brings me back to seeing the trailer for Insidious and Hereditary where I had no idea what the movies would be about (though I can gather more for this being there's source material). That being said....I still have low expectations....but I am a sucker and The Omen is also one of my favorite horror trilogies so I'll probably go see it anyway. Cheers!

Yes. Exorcist 1 (not the flashing face) and Omen 1 had great trailers: created interest, instilled fear without giving away too much....

I agree on all points. I have the Omen box set but have only watched the original. I did try to watch the remake from 2006 back when it was first released on dvd and I shut it off after like 30 mins. Should give them all a watch.

On the IMDB site it’s says that Arkasha steveson is in production to make another movie called The Jackal with the same actor in it Nell Tiger Free in it . Maybe that should give an indication that they might do a sequel, which may answer some theories from the book especially with Damian being born of jackal , or it could be a different movie entirely. But the name of the Movie it’s self is called the Jackal, meaning there’s a strong possibility that the director is confident about the First omen that she might do a sequel that May answer a lot of questions who knows 🤷🏿‍♂️

That would definitely be a good sign, but from what I can find it looks like “The Jackal” was just a production name used before the movie was called The First Omen. If you find anything else on it that says otherwise let me know because that would be a really interesting find!

Yep, I agree that The Exorcist: Believer was pret-ty safe (compared to the original The Exorcist, which was *more* tense and terrifying). That reboot sequel should've taken a page or two from Candyman 2021's book when it came to making a reboot sequel. 🤨 The First Omen, however? *DEFINITELY* looks intriguing! A trailer that doesn't give the whole plot away, and makes you interested in what could happen! 😆

Ok, I agree with you regarding the creation on the poster and even the trailer. But, and a huge but it the story line that the trailer is heading to be. Yes, I have seen the Omen many times. If you remember the birth of Damien was from a Jackal. Not a Human. If they would go that route and make scary and disturbing. They would have a huge hit. But it starting to just look like just another typical want to be scary movie.

The film , and trailer, make it clear that there is no jackal birth for Damien which makes the film shit already.

The trailer shows a woman about to give birth which makes it pretty much self explanatory. Journalists who saw sneak previews have confirmed that there is no jackal birth which is unfair to fans who would have been itching to see Damien coming out of the jackal using CGI. @@RocklinGraves

No they didn’t make a good Trailer this is awful that the movie is changing everything about the Omen. Everyone who has seen the Omen knows Damien’s Mother is not a Human it’s a Jackal.

What's wrong is: story entirely deviates from original narrative author of franchaise David Seltzer concept narrative that Damien's mother was a jackel stated in all the series films!!! I won't see woke horror... bah! 👎
