Eye tracking on every headset would be massive due to foviated rendering You get to have a smaller circle where stuff is rendered at full res, the rest is low res that can be lowered tremendously, and you get free performance from something you should not even notice if done correctly

Dynamic foveated rendering takes up more resources because of eye tracking so it’s not a huge improvement

@@fayenotfaye no it doesn't, actually rendering a game at 90 fps, 4k resolution takes up way more resources than reading the information on a sensor, that takes absolutely no resources in comparison. it would only increase performance and frames.

Eyetracking is really what I miss, I use it a lot on the Vive Pro Eye, and it's like, I want best of both world in one headset. Quest Pro has it of course, but it was wayy too expensive for me

does the bobo fit the case??. all these 3rd party straps are not fitting or hype. For quest 2 i have the elite strap because it fits snuck with the case and works fine.

Are the MR camera's fixed focus? In a dark room I can't get them to focus on tv in back of room at all. I was hoping you could play mixed reality bowling, golf, slot car racers, etc while still watching your favorite tv show, but unless the room lights are all on, the depth of field seems to not allow a screen 10 feet away to remain in focus. For MR to really work, they need the ability to focus on what you are looking at, and it really needs to be automatic.

Quest Pro 2 is just going to be what the Quest Pro was supposed to be at the time. They are heavily focused on MR so I doubt anything ground breaking or new will be coming.

That's very kind. I use davinci resolve, my advice is work really hard on editing the first 30 seconds of the video (helps engagement). It really helps develop yours skills. There is so much to learn but in time it all comes together. I knew nothing about editing 2 years ago but if you mess around with all the free features davinci has you'll be surprised what you can make 😊

If I’m not mistaken it will automatically update when you shut down as long as you have the option on to update before shutting down. Or if you want to update manually you can go through the system settings.

If i were meta i would keep face and eye tracking solely for the quest pro line. I am hoping for a quest pro 2 with the xr2 gen 2 chip, micro oled screens, even clearer passthrough and improved face and eye tracking…would love to see it against the upcoming apple vision

the being "able to read phones on passthrough" doesn't seem like something anyone can actually easily do. cameras are too blurry and grainy. seems scammy

Imo it’s possible, though not necessarily clear or ideal. Not sure if they claim otherwise. Lighting in the room definitely affects the amount of graininess.

It's not super clear, but usable to a degree. This is what i was looking forward for the most for the quest 3. And indeed it's hard to read still BUT, it's definitely doable now. I don't need to remove the headset now if i forgot to launch virtual desktop on my pc, i can just see where it is. I can also read a few things and stuff which imo is good enough and way better than not being to do it at all

Apparently Meta are working on a Apple Vision Pro competitor called Quest Elite and it will feature 52 DDP on the screen and will be using an upgraded chip and will launch at the end of next year and I recently bought a Quest 3 and it’s my 1st Quest headset and I am blown away but theirs 2 minor things things that annoy me one is when switching between using hand tracking and controllers takes a little longer than it should and the battery life other than that it’s a better multi media headset than my PSVR 2 but for games PSVR2 is like using a high end PC on steroids because of the immersion of the haptics but I still use my Quest 3 a lot more as I use it for different things but I can see the Quest being a big hit as I am into mixed reality games and apps and every one that has used my headset loves the mixed reality features

No, the biggest difference is the pancake lenses and how close it is to your face with lighter feeling weight and larger field of view. You still get all of that😂

@@gokhanbozkurt7675 also I've used quest 2 vr for my dcs gameplay with rx 6900 xt the frames were choppy and sometime frames used to get teared effect, after doing research for 1 month, I got to know that meta is only nvidia biased after I've to sold my quest 2 at 2nd price and later purchased valve index and since then I happy with the index performance in DCS.
