Simon needs to get the live band together and totally re-record the Quintessence track, then add some of his electronic wizardry twitches n glitches to it, and then add Raja's original flute to it from the original master tape, then blend both together and release this fucker as one whole long fucker of a track!

The Quintessence track ends at a sweet spot musically, EXACTLY 8 bars after the first drum hit in the Shpongle track, at the moment the beat fleshes out. And the two tracks cross over for four minutes TO THE SECOND!! That can't be coincidence, right?!

I still don't get it. What were you trying to say? I can in no way compare myself to Simon, but in my own musical attempts I am recycling my own decades old ideas TO THE SECOND. And it's just that. I take the old material and play with it... Raj's flute solo is perfect so why don't take it as a base for a Shpongle track? You take it, clean it, put into your software, set the tempo to match the original and build a track around it. Nothing mystical. Common practice.

there is an easy explanation to this, Raja propably kept the master tapes of his recordings during the 60's and 70's then sampled them for the first shpongle album.i myself do this when recording home.
