Today Im going to run in just Plaid, Sport and even Chill mode. Maybe one is closer to 10.0 full throttle and easier to dial in. Im in like 16th with a terrible 10.6 run just to keep me in the bracket. Dont they give mulligans on Raceweek??? 🤔

That thing should be crazy repeatable at the track, far less variables to work with than a gas car. I think you're onto it, play with settings until you find that combo that gets you close to a flat 10. Eliminate the operator error. Have fun man!

Maybe something to try is get a stopwatch taped to the steering wheel and hit it with your thumb at the start that could help you monitor when you need to slow down

If you watch the tesla plaid channel he tells you all the settings he uses and his times, where he let's out and everything. He runs Bradenton and showtime mostly but he was time limited on a lot of his runs due to lack of cage. His car is stock so your mileage may vary. He has a 19" wheel plaid and a 20" along with a raven if I recall correctly.

You don't have to, this is just funny. It's probably using a lot less gas(or diesel( than he'd otherwise use because the ICE runs in the efficient zone continuously and the electric part is super efficient (as in, really, really efficient)

Here's a clue... you're supposed to cross the safety chains on your trailer connection so that a) they don't drag on the ground and b) they catch the tongue if the ball connection pops off.

Being electric and elevation not making as much of a difference, it would be handy if you could set you own speed limiter. That way you could stay in it the whole run. Then you could have a cheat sheet, "I need to run a 10.5, I gotta set limiter to 103mph" etc. This is how I can imagine EV bracket racing will be.

You should of bought a dragy those are the most accurate for reading times on the street maybe go by speed get up to 120 mph and hold it there and see what happens. Going by speed will be more accurate than guessing where to let off

Try activating Dyno mode on the Tesla , it disables the TC! So you can get cheetah and still do burnouts :)

Hey brother you want to tighten up the front suspension more put ratchet straps around your coils or ratchet strap your control arms to something solid so they can only travel so far or not travel at all they will still work on compression but they just will not have any extension so you will still absorb the bumps but your front end will not come up under launch

Reason you car is shutting down is most certainly from the battery pack overheating. Throwing that many amps causes a lot of heat an you can do a better radiator an fan to let it run a little longer before it shuts down.
