Earlier this year I saw a study done in Japan on motion sickness from VR. They found significant evidence of a big drop off in MS occurring when the game/app was running at 120 fps or higher. When setting up your QGO settings for games that are likely to result in MS, aim for higher fps whenever possible. Also, two of the best utilities for the Quest HMD are Virtual Desktop for connecting to a PC for wireless PCVR and Quest Games Optimizer, which is a great little front end program that allows you to tweak the settings for each game to get the most out of your experience. Great intro, wish I'd seen it earlier this year when I got my Q3. Had to learn much of what you covered on my own.

VTOL VR made me motion sick for a month, a small fan blowing on me really helped. It helped my brain figure out what was going on.

Buy myself the 3s and you guess it, i got motion sickness 😅 do yourself a favour and listen to him in terms of breaks! It gets better and better after each break 😊

I am stuck in walk around golf because of the motion sickness but then I’m ok with that so far, except for the fact I think I’m going to fall off cliffs everywhere

For me the number 1 accessory has been controller grips/straps. The freedom to completely let go of your controller and know it's not going anywhere really adds to the immersion. Controller straps are super cheap too!

Short coasters rides is how I habituated my brain to VR when I got the rift CV1 way back when actually; I just stopped as soon as I felt my stomach starting to get upset, so one ride at first, then I could manage two, then three, then weeeeeeeeeeeeeee as long as I wanted. Would I recommend that to newcomers ? Of course no, but it is to say it's possible to get acclimated with any experience, the main real thing is to stop as soon as you feel unconfortable, NEVER PUSH IT. Start with very short sessions, you'll get used to it overtime; but if you push it you will reinforce a negative feedback loop and will get sick as soon as you put the headset on overtime. I know a few people to whom that happened to, their headset's been collecting dust for years.

I just got a Quest 3. My family and I have been having alot of fun with Figmin XR! Amazing experience and very funny. There are tons of things you can do.. we got a kick out of putting a dancing squirrel on our dogs, growing trees in our kitchen, and batting a piñata and balloons all around our living room. Also, putting birthday candles and sparklers on our piano 😂

Drink / eat something that has ginger in it before and after playing !! It really helps to repel motion sickness and just nausea in general !!

Ginger works for minor motion sickness. You can try motion sickness medicine too.

Bobo vr s3 pro. Just got my son one for Xmas and it’s amazing get some extra batteries as well as they are hot swappable. Makes the quest more comfortable to wear as well.

Yeah use the free quest+ option for 3 months then cancel.... You won't be getting the best titles, in fact you'll be getting the old titles, which inevitably you'll start deleting to make room for the AAA titles.

Every KZbin content creator pushes "Mixed Reality" on Quest 3 hard but NEVER talk about how TRASH your ENVIRONMENT looks though those cameras. The virtual images produced by Quest in MR are fantastic. But your actual-actual environment is super trash and brothers my eyes. No one is going to be cooking a meal in the kitchen with Quest on while watching virtual KZbin or pulling up recipes. One day when viewing my environment through cameras look as indiscernibly real as my real environment without the head gear on, then I'll use MR for day-to-day tasks. But for now, MR is best used just for games, which Quest does brilliantly.
