The FIRST Windows Longhorn Build

As you may know, the first ever shared build on pubilc is build 3663, but the first available-to-install-publicly build is 3683. I love to make my windows 10 computer and laptop look like other os such as windows xp, vista and windows 7. One of the os I emulated was longhorn build 4074. I managed to emulate everything from the theme sounds and icons. I even manged to get the sidebar to work. It was incredibly hard to find a good longhorn theme though, as there was no windowblinds longhorn themes for windows 10. Thankfully I manged to get a longhorn theme from skinpacks. I eventually switched back to the windows xp theme, but I'm currently thinking about switching back to the longhorn theme. Edit: So for some reason KZbin took down my original Comment for some reason, even though there was nothing inappropriate about it. I'm having rewrite this comment

Btw this OOBE music also plays on the Windows Server 2003 installation part, maybe it's based on that

Windows Server 2003 actually lacks OOBE, making this music unused.

Longhorn is always based on Windows Server 2003.. RC1 builds for pre-reset, RTM for post-reset builds and onwards until Vista.

4:06 the longhorn sidebar is an explorer part, so it will work on Vista if you replace explorer with the Longhorn one. it doesnt work on XP

Longhorn's pre-reset builds are always more interesting than post-reset builds. Even though the post-reset builds have changed a lot, I still don't feel as interesting as the pre-reset builds. March 16, 2024 11:02PM
