So glad I found this video! I watch FishboxTV and saw you there, but didn't realize you had made this video! LOVE IT! Yes, I am store #7 of Lisa's course and opened in November 2023, just breaking even after 6 months of being open, still not paying myself and sole operator. Can't afford to hire anyone yet. Lots of lessons learned the hard way. Good for you staying independent!

6 months? That is great!!! Congratulations. I looked to see if you had a youtube and didn't see any content. Is your journey documented anywhere?
@ruready1st3 ай бұрын
@@pinoyingarland Not yet. There is a newspaper article in the Sierra Vista Herald online that was also in the Sunday edition of the print newspaper. I have to hire part-time staff so I have some time to figure out how to get my story out.

Congrats on the business. Curious, what software do you use for shipping and POS for collecting payments??

We use Square for POS and Postal Mate for shipping. Double work but it’s not that bad

Hey Kathleen! Have you opened your store yet? If so, how’s it going?

Hey Man, congrats on your store. Awesome video. Can a pack and ship store offer Amazon return services? Also, what is the point of offering usps service if they don’t pay the any fees to the store?
@shipitlax28 күн бұрын
Hey man thanks for watching. We can process Amazon returns as long as they have a UPS label (most items are returnable with the UPS label option). We cannot take returns with the QR codes. As far as USPS goes you, offering USPS is just another way to get customers in your store; even if you don’t make money from that transaction, they now know you’re there. They now know that they can print with you, rent a mailbox from you, etc. If you position it right you can get most customers to ship using UPS ground where you do make money, as they are priced better than the post office. Edwin, do you have your own store?
@edwinmontes821825 күн бұрын
@@shipitlax thanks for the reply and for the info, offering the USPS services totally makes sense now. Yes, i purchased an already established store not too long ago but it needs a lot of work as far as marketing. It has the potential to generate revenue, i just have to advertise it and learn as i go. Thanks again for taking the time.

Hi Ship It LAX. Have you looked into RSA to get the UPS account? I couldnt get it either but with RSA I am working on getting it.
@shipitlax5 ай бұрын
Hey, yes we're members of RSA, but we passed on joining package hub if that was the only way to get a UPS account.
@cloud24patrol5 ай бұрын
@@shipitlax Curious why you decided to pass on the ups account even if its just through package hub?
@shipitlax5 ай бұрын
@@cloud24patrol while Brandon Gale at package hub is great, we are not interested in joining a franchise (albeit with low fees and little commitment). We just don’t see the need to join and pay more fees than we have to at the moment. You’ll quickly learn that those fees add up and at the end of the day the customer really doesn’t care what carrier they use. They either want to spend as little as possible and use USPS or they want the next level of service and we offer FedEx.
@cloud24patrol5 ай бұрын
@@shipitlax My problem is amazon returns... my community is asking me for that more than anything. I also was told by a mentor that the package hub rates are worth the fees alone. I did get fedex myself but ill never get ups without them cause im within 4 miles of the ups store and they say 5 miles is minimum...
@Logan-lt1kn5 ай бұрын
@@shipitlax Do you find you lose a lot of business for not being able to take the amazon returns with prepaid labels? I am worried without UPS and the ups store being 6 miles away I may be pushing them that way if I dont get ups through PBC.
