I had a ropefish back in the day. I kept him in my Mbuna tank. The Mbuna seemed pretty indifferent to him and there were lots of rocks for him to hide in. I often fed floating pellets and he would come up to the top edge and scoop them up against the glass. I also fed bloodworms, sometimes after turning out the lights to give him a good chance to feed on those.

Before KZbin, I kept two in a tank with African Ciclids, and a Blue Crawfish. Used to get out a lot. It was a decent fall to the carpet. I would imagine the equivalent of jumping from a 6 story building 🤷‍♂️
