One of my favorite things about this campaign is that there is no main character. Especially concerning Gillian. Chip and Jay have just as much staying power and importance. Gillian is "the chosen one [extra names here]" for a later event, but Chip is his own story about overcoming yourself and Jay is a show of defiance from upbringing and making your own path. All 3 of them really are about how each character isn't defined by their past, but what they make for themselves. And that's why I like dnd. Amazing story and I've been here since the beginning (ish. Like 8th episode lmao)

1:53:45 this here really shows Gillion's character, how he sees the world. Physical pain "goes away" but words cut deep and stay with you. That's why he's so against lying. Also I just can't help but imagine how the elders probably didn't punish him physically when he messed up, because either he didn't feel it that much (dude's strong) or he thought he deserved it. Instead verbally. Like last episode I think he mentioned them "motivating' him in his training by saying things like "that's okay,, but it won't save you/us/whatever he was supposed to fight for during the training". Or that he wasn't"good enough". The elders never truly cared about him, that's why he cried this episode. Because for the first time he's in a caring environment... Man I love Gillion. Poor guy Edit: OMG JUST AFTER THAT. LITERALLY A MOMENT LATER CHIP'S "LIE" IS REVEALED. I'M NOT NORMAL ABOUT THIS.
