Let me ask this question. Can States verify citizenship of voters who vote in State and local elections? Maybe not Federal but State? Can States create their own laws or amendments that say only citizens can vote? Because many State constitutions out there say that citizens have the right to keep and bear arms. Could States enact their own laws that would criminalize non citizens from owning and/or possessing firearms? Would the Federal Government sue saying that law there says the word illegal alien or undocumented migrant and that is preempted?
