I think Decent Sampler is a free and very cool alternative to Kontakt, Arturia's Synths are very good but now there's a lot of great alternatives like GForce, Cherry Audio, u-he, Softube Synths.. and for mixing just stock plugins can do the job too

It's decent...😊...but definitely not as powerful or flexible as Kontakt. As much as I dislike Kontakt editing UI, it makes up for it power

I also like Decent Sampler. Arturia's 'Pigments' is cool, and I love the 'Augmented' series. Tom had mentioned Newfangled Audio's 'Generate' synth previously, which is super fun. I think 'Phaseplan't' for me might be king of the soft synths however 🙂

I'm a re-recording mixer. Fabfilter lives in all my mixes, including the new Pro-R2 reverb. These guys are just great on workflow. I certainly wouldn't want to work without Pro-Q3 any more.

Omnisphere is a goto for Phinneas O'Connell as well. I own some plugin alliance stuff. Learned something....Fab filter being Dutch. I have NI EC 14 as my largest bundle. Love it.

I think a cool topic to talk about (since I have not seen many videos about this on youtube) is how to update your cubase template once a new version of Kontakt is released, it's been always a pain in the ass for me when switching from version 5 to 6 and now kontakt 7 or I have not been explained how to this in a quick and practical way at least.

Ever tried UVI Falcon? Maybe it's less intuitive if you start from scratch but has way more potential than both Kontakt and Omnisphere to me and the libraries are very good too.

I own both Falcon and Omnisphere. I have to admit I'm using way more Omnsiphere. Both sound great, but Omnisphere is so intuiitive and still a power house

I compared all my compressor plugins to Fabfilter PRO-C2. And that compressor beats them every time. I don't have to say anything about PRO-Q3 of course😍. But I recently found a delay plugin that beats fabfilter timeles 3. Newfangled Recirculate. It's amazing.

The title for this video is so off. 1. The Plug-in Alliance bundle and subscription is best on the market in my opinion keeps on growing is worth it. 2. Arturia plug-in everything bundle is also a gold standard keeps on getting better and better is worth it. I’m not into the Kontact sampler but I like the UVI Falcon and Vintage Vault bundle together plus the expansion series. Totally capable of going beast mode with this set up. 3 Fabfilter everything bundle is great but it’s got its competitors in every category worthy of a replacement to its product line.

1+ to all of those - the Omnisphere is just a never ending source of sounds.... been using it since 11 years and you will never get to the point of not finding sth. usefull.... just did the music for the new Sauber/Alfa Racecar reveal clip which will be released in a few days and the Omnisphere ruled.... also you need to check out the sonible plugins ... their smart EQ 4 is a whole new dimension since it is able to communicate with the other smart EQs in the project... they also start to replace some of my Fabfilters....
