It’s bad now, but dont’t kid yourself-things were bad (high crime all across the city, public defecation and copulation in the downtown shopping area and parks, increase in littering of paper and other waste, etc. San Francisco was once a gem of a city. It’s been going down ever faster since 2000. And the problem is not just the politicos, or courts, or police: it’s also the citizens: the population is changing; older citizens who may have been more personally responsible are being replaced by younger ones who aren’t, and the takeover by the techies has been catestrophic for many smaller businesses. And the techies are not only green on climate issues, they’ve green-eyed greedy monsters.
