As much as I love your channel, I have to disagree with the height. I much rather prefer they came sitting so high. I like the fact that when I park next to another durango, I can see a huge difference. I like that I made it look better and didn't just roll it off the lot that way. But thats just my $0.02.

The RT is a all wheel drive with 4 low lock! Lowered vehicles only performs better on a dry highway at high speeds. I live in Utah my RT kicks ass with the snow and a lot of that is ground clearance! If you want it lowered lower it or at least Dodge could offer the option. Also your front lights might not be LED but they are better they are HID which is a much better light, but I agree the turn signals and running lights should be led.

I gotta sayi like your videos about the durango in general. That being said... the ride height issue you take is rather ridiculous. Its an SUV not a minivan. The whole idea of the durango spawned from being able to seat more people and have more room to store things while being covered from the elements. Think dodge ram 1500 with a permanent bed cover and some seats thrown in. This isnt a car with more space... its a covered truck. The dodge journey might be more what youre wanting. This is a hit the dirt roads and climb up some hills to go camping while remaining comfortable. I do realize the rt and srt models sorta run uo against that line more. But generally speaking the difference between an suv and a van is the sport portion. The ground clearance and offroad abilities are literally one of their main selling points. The more muscle car versions of these i can see being lower from the factory. That makes sense to me. But the RT version basically means "hemi v8" option added. So as much as all the durangos kinda have that muscle car feel (thats dodges brand) these were absolutely meant to hit dusty trails. To be honest... if anything id really like if they made them come from factory an inch taller with slightly more aggressive tires. Maybe they can have the durango remain the same and offer a street package and an offroad package. I can get my inchbor so of height and you can drop down an inch or so each option with various other suspension differences to make a smoother street ride or an ability to crawl a little better. Dodge and jeep are both chrysler companies after all.

In my opinion, the engine cover is probably to disperse any water coming down from the hood vents and not get into any electronics I suppose. The only issue I am having is condensation getting into my electric power steering boots and freezing preventing my steering wheel to turn. Then again it is an Alaska thing I guess. Replacement of the e-power steering or rack and pinion is about $1800.

My number 1 worst thing about my Durango is the tail light stabbing you as you walk around it!! you know exactly what Im talking about!!! That sharp edge is brutal!!

I disagree with everything except the tail lights. Other than that the video was alright not very informative when it comes to maintenance example, the dozens of coolant and heater hoses that bust especially when you live in an extremely hot climate like TX. You have a nice durango though💯

1 buy an RT badge. 2 you improved for you, others will find those lights too dang bright. 3 lowering the ride height has ruined the overall ability of the Durango and puts your suspension at risk for increased damage and cost. 4 lights go out in all vehicles and there will never be a fix for losing parts of the racetrack LED unit on the rear. 5 engine cover another item of choice. Most folks approve of it and you will find covers like that on over 68% of the vehicles out there. Having said all this, there are some that will gripe about bad headlights on the Durango, or poor style of rims, back seat comfort being thin and not so comfortable. Still others want to chop the roof down and stretch it out even further. All sorts of things out there that can be done in changing up the original lines of the Durango. Only thing I would change.... rolled and polished 4 inch exhaust tips :) Peace

The lift gate light(racetrack light) is terrible. Over time, small cracks will develop causing water to get in and slowly destroy the LED lights. Price tag to replace…$900-$1400.

Your 5 things are all cosmetic. The Durango has alot of things that are worse things in my opinion. I bought a 2017 Durango R/T in January of 2018 with 250 miles on it. It was my first American car, I did alot of homework on this car, because American cars are not my thing but, I needed something for the 6 of us. I've owned 5 Toyotas, 2 pick up trucks, a corolla, a 4runner and Sequoia SR5. I've also had a Nissan pick up and a 64 vw bug. The Durango has been the worst car ever. Toyota is the best most durable long lasting vehicles. I've done more repairs on this Dodge then all my Toyotas combined. On this Durango I've had to fix radiator, radiator hoses, heater lines, pulleys, broken exhaust manifold bolts, water pump 3 times, thermostat 5 times, motor mounts, struts twice, headlights, backing sensors, fuel pump and I think that's it. I've never raced it never crashed it and did all the maintenance on time. All these repairs was within 24,000 miles and 150,000 miles. I will never buy another Durango! All my toys went 240,000 miles before anything major had to be fixed. My worst repair was probably replacing a radiator and water pump. I've also lawyered up on this Durango under lemon law to get my money back. So I get what your saying but there 5 worse things I could think of. Lol

You must have had some bad luck with that Durango on the assembly line! I’ve owned mine new, zero miles in 2015. Daily drive it 80 miles a day, mixed driving but mostly fwy. The only thing I had go out was my headlights! As it is now it’s at 121k plus miles!! It’s an RT and I knew I wasn’t getting good mpg but what I did gain was a tank of a vehicle to protect the family! It’s fast enough to get in trouble but I don’t know why you would race an SUV? Out of all my cars this ranks up there with my Rx7 s, Miata’s, E39 M5, Ford Aerostar 😂 Del Slow and an 89 Foxbody Mustang. I guess it’s just perspective and good luck nowadays! Those cars had their problems but served me well in every life stage.
