This felt like a very honest video. Usually we’re used to seeing the patient giving good feedback on how their pain is feeling better after 1 session. But you know this client had to go through multiple sessions and routine work on this to get those results. It just goes to show, *trust the process!*

It’s so sad (all around for everyone) how sometimes we give up and don’t push through the pain because of the fear that it might not be worth it. Most times it is and the pain is actually a stepping stone to a better version of your mind or body, depending on what you’re intending.

Exactly - sometimes it can take months of consistent rehab to see a START of symptom reduction. It rewards discipline and consistency, especially with lower back injuries.

I can say that I had shoulder pain from an impingement and did some of the stuff he recommended in another video and had no pain that day. It does come back after a while, but each time is less painful. So this dude probably did have some relief day one. Similar deal with my back. I did the McGill big 3 because my lower back always hurts and I had never realized how bad it really was because I instantly had no pain for the first time in years

My shoulder mobility got so bad that I had to stretch my arms all the way out and hold the weights when I squatted. It was actually pretty comfortable. The bar sat along my back just below the traps, right over my side delts to the top of biceps into my elbow crease.

@jinntiger7 ай бұрын
I've had left shoulder external impingement myself just like the guy in the video for 7 years now, several PT's later and still not much improvement in my ROM. The only thing that helped was some dry needling that helped to release some tension that got most of the pain out of my shoulder, but overall my left shoulder weakness is still there and as I get older it gets harder to take off my shirt in the overhead position, will try these movements hope it helps. FYI, my shoulder pain started after dumbbell overhead presses back in 2016, thinking some tears in maybe my Infraspinatus? Any additional suggestions would be most appreciated, hate having such a bum left shoulder. Thanks for reading this far.

Don't train the rotator cuff to failure you should take weeks of doing a small amount of exercises everyday, the smaller the muscle, the more frequently you should train it but with far far less load. Never load the cuff

What kind of physical therapist is this, because I was injured pretty bad and can't seem to get this type of exam, like ever.
@daan26010 ай бұрын
I think it's just a basic physical therapist, but there are a lot of bad therapists out there that just give you a couple of random exercises. Maybe try to find someone with good credentials and someone that also does massaging and joint mobility treatment. You want a craftsman and not someone that spends his time nitpicking over scientific articles. As a physical therapist that's my take on it. You want someone that understands mechanisms of the body.
