I want to say that it won't be the last, last video regarding gaming and performance. It's just that I found this revelation one of the best out there that fix my problem the most. Something that hasn't been talked about much on youtube. As far as I could find. I've never found any videos that specifically discuss replacing onboard network adapters when trying to play FPS competitively! Although better gpus and cpus will help; ultimately I've found that the network adapter did more to impact my competitiveness more so then any other PC component. Yet, it's the least talked about. I've seen people go from a mid range PC to a high end PC. Going from 150 FPS to 400 FPS yet their competitiveness in 1st Person Shooters do not change. They certainly show more FPS on the counter but none of it actually helps them move or fire faster/accurate, etc. Because regardless of how good your PC is how it communicates with the server and how the server communicates with you take paramount over how well it can process the information it sends or received from the server. That's the true revelation to this.

Hmm, that's a very interesting tip. Never thought of the network card built into the motherboard itself being an issue. But you are right. Those 1gb adapters don't do 1gb speeds. I will have to look into testing this out. Thx!

Hello, I discovered your channel because I have the same passions as you and I follow you. The problem I am experiencing is a situation that I have been experiencing for years but cannot detect or prove. Some people on the internet call this electrical input delay. Some are floating mice. I've been an online player since CS 1.5, those good times, there weren't many such problems. My game and my computer work very stable and responsive on uncertain days and hours without any changes. These times are very rare and I can enjoy the games I play because my mouse movements work synchronously with the computer, not faster or slower. For this reason alone, my aim, which I can modestly call magnificent, has disappeared over the years. At first, I pursued this problem with great ambition, but I could not find anything other than placebo, and I have given up for the last few years. What I want to ask you is, have you ever experienced anything like this? or have you heard of it? Actually, there is a lot to write and share, but as I said, this problem made me a little tired, thank you for your time.

I am sorry but I never heard of this before. And, very probably I would only give you advice you've heard before. IE: -Check CPU/GPU temps. anything below 60C -Air blast your motherboard for dust. -Repaste your GPU/CPU -Replace your PSU One tweak that I do advocate for is to plug up your computer to the outlet closest to the circuit breaker. This is a test to see if things improve. If it does you know the issue is the outlet you use. This is without surge protector. And, the outlet isn't being used by anything else. This is all I can offer.

I don't mean to butt in however I do wonder if your issue happens when gaming online or both online and single player games?

@@eastside6273 When this problem occurs, it happens to both of them, and not only the game but also the operation of the entire computer changes. With just a little attention, I notice that even my monitor brightness changes to a certain extent. I can't think of any problems other than electricity, but all my measurements etc. are normal.

Which network card did you buy

These network cards are coming and going for some reason. The Intel 10 GB X55 0T1 should be in stock. I'm not sure if it's demand or lack of supply but they are on sale one minute and gone the next. The x550t2 is just a 2 jack variant. Another thing is that some makers use the x550 chipset on their. So check to make sure it reads intel on the board itself to see if it's a genuine intel network card. Or an network card that uses both chipset and motherboard.

@@riggs5402 Also, don't change any of the settings in the Advance tab. Play your games 1st. ... And go to intel website for the latest drivers for the x550
