The new plans looks terrible from the photos, ugly buildings and a large slate of asphalt.

Grew up in Fairfield in 60's/70's. Even as this was being built it was common talk that there was no way it was going to make it. Look back at the demographics. Forest Park next door. Go figure.

And right between two other malls on the same highway. It was ridiculous.

@@dougfromsoanierana currently Tri County mall is looking at complete tear down. I remember when that mall was open air and what a big deal it was to inclose it. Time marches on. What was once cool is now old news.

Retail failed right off a major highway! For now they should just turn it into a huge truckstop and get some revenue. Build the light industrial as contracts come in, which seems unlikely IMO.

Wow, asking for tax breaks. Then the city be complaining about not enough revenue to pay employees or for infrastructure projects.

With nearly all the mall's failing everywhere, what can we all learn from Kenwood mall ? It's as alive as ever. What are they doing differently ?

It's next to the Counties richest neighborhood. And some stores inside it are closed. Millionaire housewives need a place to exclude the plebs
