This is about as pretty, listenable, and surreal as the original and I consider ‘Suddenly Everything Has Changed’ to be one of my favorite Flaming Lips songs.

Thanks for the kind words! This was one of those tracks I spent considerably more time on certain parts to get them just right. It's always a challenge to do slower, quieter parts with only 16 steps of volume control but using both the NES and GB allowed me to layer things and do some other cool tricks to match the changes in the original recording. And I agree, this is one of my favorites as well...but I'm finding more and more that every song on "The Soft Bulletin" is 'my favorite' haha.

If this upcoming album release goes as well as I'm hoping (and last year's release is any indication), I will most definitely have an awesome 2020!

Haha, that's great. If I was doing a more general cover of multiple album tracks that would be the perfect name. Alas, I've settled on "Soft Bits In" for this one.

Okay normally I'm not all that impressed by chiptune remixes, but as soon as I read the title I had to look. I was not disappointed. Holy shit, you nailed that "Driving home the sky accelerates" verse!

Thank you kindly! That is the best part of the song, imo. I've noticed that this entire album has songs with short bursts of joy that only last a few seconds at a time and make you want to listen to the tracks over and over just to hear those parts again. It fits the theme of "gotta take the happiness you can get amongst the sorrow" across the whole album so well.
