I was born in 1957. I agree with you! They don't make music like this anymore! I saw The Flamingos at two Doo Wopp shows, and they still sound great!

"I Only Have Eyes For You" gets me every time - I'm 71 years old. I only danced to this with my one true love, who passed in October 2012. I dream of this song all the time now.

This is not the same group, as back then. I am related to two of the original members. I could form a group and call it by the same name and do much better.

Now this is the only way I would watch the View!!! I was born in 1961, but didn't discover The Flamingos until around 2008 and I was blown away by this song! It is timeless and gives me goosebumps still today.

My oldest brother by 15 years would sometime give us his hand me downs, so one day he gave us a record player and some 45 records. One of the records I remember so well was the Flamingos, I only have eyes for you. And I played it over and over. Years later I went looking for that song but to no avail. Then they come along with you tube and I got to relive that beautiful harmonizing music.. These guys were the one of the first to do wop. And back then the cars with the fender skirts and the flat top hair cuts cause my brother had one..Oh he only knew I much I admired him growing up brings tears to my eyes through this song.. Thanks to these groups for paving the way for the greatest music of all time. Rest In Peace to my older brother for bringing us culture and style.. and Whoopi is an all time classic for understanding the thirst we need to keep our culture alive and also don’t forget the great Dick Clark for understanding the vision for bringing these great groups. He had the power to get it done. I can imagine he faced if a lot of adversities but he didn’t let him stop him. And as result we get to reminisce and enjoy things of our past. And lastly thank for great oldest brother for giving us that record player.. LB December 2021

It is refreshing to see that these guys are still not only together, (though not all the originals), but nonetheless, they all look excellent! And this can only be underscored by the fact that they have lived good lives, and not only so, but a quality of life!

What a "classic" record from the late-great Nate Nelson and the immortal "Flamingos"! After moving to NYC from Chicago they signed with END records and recorded this "Do-Wopp" masterpeice, in the spring of 1959. This is one of the BEST!! This is truly a great record/song with "The Flamingos" super-smooth,super-tight harmony and the great lead of Nate Nelson (RIP). Through the British invasion, Disco-pop-crap of the 70's, all the music of the 80's and 90's, this song truly has endured and stood the test of time! It has been featured in many movies, television shows, and commercials through out the years and many love this song around the world. I met Terry Johnson a few years ago (at a show in westchester county NY) and he was a gentleman. He carries on with the "Flamingos" and they do a great show. Even through their line-up changes over the years,"The Flamingos" have recorded many great "Do-Wopp" records/songs and are and were one of the BEST groups of all time! Again, a true "classic". Thank you "Flamingos" for the wonderful music & memories.............

Mr Northern Soul Tommy Hunt is also still with us (the second dancer) Met him in 1975 at the 007 club nr Southampton..had the pleasure in dropping of his music and stage gear at "Fagins" Mancheste on my way back up North to do a Summer season in North Wales...He was such a brilliant singer and performer, (still is ) however I didn't know then, and he didn't let on,that he used to be with one of my all time favourite groups the"Flamingos" I believe he left to go solo at the end of 1960.
