Williamson is actually making New 52 Wally a likable character. Lately, he's starting to look and feel like a true Flash: a big heart, a desire to be heroic, and an affinity for his close family. It's these values that The Flash has always been about, going all the way back to Jay Garrick. This book is awesome. Feel the love! Hug the pages!

But the flash family is probably the most iconic out there, if you disagree, then it has to still be mentioned in the same sentence as superman or batman. The flash family is the rare case of it being done right. The family aspect is so crucial to the charecters of the flashes, where as mst others, its just an aspect.

That last page reveal was great. I like how Williamson took a break from the Wally meets Wally aspect of the book in order to say "Hey, we've got something special for you." at the end. It easily could have ended a few pages earlier, but the last few pages with Barry and Wally make the issue great.

Ever since I read JSA (especially Geoff Johns run on it), Jay Garrick was THE MAN, a great Flash, great character, great all-around person, teacher, legacy, and awesome hero. Giving him the old school principals and values really made him stand out as just awesome to me, and he brought something to the JSA that really helped define that team's identity. And it's been missing ever since. He needs to come back. LONG LIVE JAY GARRICK, THE FIRST FLASH!!!

Great story! I LOVE the idea of Jay Garrick returning, too! One of the best super-heroes (and mentors to other heroes) of all time! And a possibility of getting things to some semblance of normalcy in the DC universe. Don't get me wrong. I don't want everything wiped and right back to pre-New 52. As good as some of the post-Final Crisis stories were, DC just seemed kind of lost and didn't know what to do with their worlds. Hence, New 52. The new Rebirth world is shaping up to be awesome! I get so much more excited about new DC stuff than Marvel. Which is sad, because I used to be such a Marvel Zombie. But times change...

The Flash has the best family, the best rouges, Wally West pre 52 was an incredible Flash, he in a lot of ways was the heart and soul of the JLA, DC is doing this right, just the right amount of dark/light balancing act. Bravo.

I love this story. It's doing what I think they should do with the Flash Family. We get to see the original Wally as an adult, who can act as a mentor to Kid Wally because he's grown from being a sidekick to a mature hero. It's just great to see it looking like the Flash Family is gonna reassemble, along with a new member. I hope we see Jay and original Bart again soon.

I believe that when Barry Allen is going off on Wally and Wally, that's not Professor Zoom contacting him in some way. That's Doctor Manhattan going into Barry and removing all hope and love from his character. That's why when Wally asks Barry what he saw while Barry was half corporeal half in the speed force, Barry said that he saw something that gave him hope. Doctor Manhattan tried to remove anything that could give people hope or an answer to why everything is screwed up and kept it in the speed force. That's why things like The Comedian's Button, Pre New 52 Wally West, and Jay's helmet came out of there.

Honestly, it could be either or. Young Jay's a pretty experienced speedster at this point, and idk if you've been reading Society recently, but Earth 2, well...it ain't doing so hot right now!
