Barry’s Lightning turns yellow when he’s in the suit that Bruce made for him
@2leftframes Жыл бұрын
You know what, I think you're right! I just rewatched the Supergirl breakout scene, and young Barry's powers are yellow while wearing that suit! Turns out it's as simple as that. Whoops!

These kind of films are always the most frustrating, the ones that should’ve been good, maybe even great but turned out to be a mixed mess of a feature film. I really liked this in depth breakdown on the movie though!

It's crazy that doing Flashpoint at this time (even a loose approximation) was so clearly the wrong move - and they still NEARLY pulled it off??!! Frustrating and astounding all in one

I completely agree with you It has some good characters and a fun narrative but a lot of issues from the studio rushing it out ruined the film for a lot of people

For the last part of the video, I personally would love to see you continue with the Infinity Saga reviews, and then sprinkle in reviews about new superhero movies whenever you feel you have a lot to say about it that you are itching to get out. I have really adored your videos so far on the MCU, but if you get that feeling for the majority of new superhero movies, then go ahead and focus on those first, because I mostly just love to hear you talk about whatever you're really passionate about.

Much appreciated! I've gotta get the Thor and Avengers 1+2 videos back up! I have half a Shazam video done that I should probably wrap up. I've been wanting to talk about The Batman since it came out! It just never ends xD Good thing I enjoy doing it!

I went with a cousin who is a huge DC fan. Huge. And he felt pretty bad about this movie. As for the 2 Ezra miller's. It's very much on how annoying you find the younger one. We both hate him. It was just not our style. And the huge cameo thing felt really messed up. We left. Feeling just dissatisfied

Great review, agreed on everything! I watched it last week with friends. We expected a full hate watch based on all the online hate, but ended up enjoying most of it. I very much enjoyed the slapstick humor, it was unexpected and felt unique for the genre. Acting was really good from all the main players. And I honestly think the direction from Muschetti was mostly great. There were a lot of really creative shots in this that gave it a visual feeling unlike anything I've seen the last years. I'm not even that hard on the vfx. The cronosphere looked terrible and having the Zod battle in an empty void of nothingness was just a bad idea, but everything else looked mostly fine to me. It's not all gold, of course. The cameos are mostly awful and the story really looses itself in the third act. Editing also becomes iffy. I was so confused when Kara locks eyes with Zod and the battle starts, and then we suddedly cut away to the whole lighting storm side adventure, Kara is now there two, the yong Barry has the time to make a new suit, they sit around, have a talk, then fly to the Zod field and the battle is still just raging like only 5 minutes passed since Kara left. Same time of day and everything. It doesn't work at all. But I can't fault Muschetti for this. Stuff probably got shuffled around so much n post by the studio to fit new plans. Overall I enjoyed this waaay more thn any of the latest Marvel stuff, which looks al the same, has no visual flair and also terrible effects. The Flash actually felt somewhat unique. Thanks again for the great video, very well presented!

i like this movie i kinda like the bad cgi it kinda works and ezra miller is great as barry allen but i got a question isnt wally west iris's nephew that means wally could be black
@2leftframes Жыл бұрын
That's an interesting one to think through. Because Iris West being black is a part of this universe. So if they cut ties here entirely, that might not be the case. However, if they do try to create links from the old and new universes, we might get a black Wally? I hadn't really thought about it before!

You really overrated Miller's performance. They were over doing the facial expressions. Im glad I wont be subjected to Miller's mugging anytime soon.

I don't think Ezra does that in every role of theirs? Not as far as I've seen. I believe it was a choice, and I thought it fit the character well.

So I have to ask. How drunk were you when you watched this movie/wrote this review. The dual Barry Allen CGI looks good? Great character development? Thinking Barry's slow-mo running looks good at any point? Please stop trolling. It's irresponsible.
@2leftframes Жыл бұрын
I stand by my assessments for those points. They were smart with the Barry-to-Barry interactions. Most of the time it's done in simple ways where no CGI would even be needed. Shot-reverse-shot conversations, and simple body-doubles. And when they do actually physically interact, it's usually fairly seamless. Barry and Keaton both have nice arcs in the movie. Nothing crazy, but perfectly reasonable for the story being told. I find the slow-mo running usually looks fine. But often the compositing and surrounding visuals were pretty lackluster. Pretty well any time he was in the ChronoBowl it looked like crap, because those entire sections were clearly rushed.

Re. Ezra Miller; when you kidnap teenagers you don't just need help, you need prison...and help too sure, therapy, prevention of crime and legal accountability.

Ignore the cancel culture noise bullshit, what Ezra did, and enjoy the characters and the story for just that, a flash film. It was a fun movie that never slowed down from start to finish.

@@michaelkeudel8770There is a difference between cancel culture and criminality. It doesn't matter what industry they're in, I think it's okay to think something is wrong that Ezra isn't in jail. I'm not a judge, I just have an opinion and no desire to watch the Ezra Miller in a movie.
