I think from season 3 (midway?) or season 4 onwards, Barry has gotten much better control over the speed force itself, which is the plot device that saves the show from Physics 😂. Hence he no longer needs suits. Of course it now just serves a purpose of looking cool, and hiding his identity from people who have been under the bunker cuz everyone else knows him 😝

They completely changed the way the close up running shots look after Season 4, which sucks. Sometimes they’d look similar, but they never came back close to it ever again, unfortunately. The series finale kind of came closer than the rest.
