The Flash Really Just did THAT With Red Death

The Flash's final season's third episode revealed Red Death's true identity and they did it in the most "The Batman" way possible. In this video I'll be reviewing "Rogues As War" as well as the previous episode "Hear No Evil"

I survived through 3 years of the pandemic just to die when she said ‘I am vengeance’. I remember laughing so hard that my stomach hurt, I lost control of my bladder and sort of fell down on the floor. When the episode ended, I got up feeling light-headed. Then I looked back and saw my body on the floor. It was awful.

I think we can all agree. Red Death should've been Oliver Queen. It would've been a crossover level event with Barry needed the whole league to help him save Oliver from the Negative Speed Force and return him to the afterlife

1) There certainly would have been more pathos. 2) Oliver has basically been the equivalent to Batman in the Arrowverse. 3) We haven't even seen Barry interact with Ryan. He had no reaction to seeing her in the Reverse Flashpoint Timeline, and while they may have teamed up offscreen in the past since Lena told Ryan that she was welcome into the Justice League (in a tie-in comic), it was all offscreen and we have no idea how well he even knows her.

@@ericklagos1431 it’s not like the show ever had comic accuracy they made Savitar a future time remnant version of Barry and Cicada they changed the character into two Orlin Dwyer and Grace Gibbons when he was David Hersch in the comics so why would this all of a sudden be a big deal and the characters name isn’t Red Batman either so it really doesn’t matter who it’d be in the Arrowverse interpretation Oliver is just personal preference

@@WilyGryphon Didn't they meet in season 8 tho? Anyways, there's a few reasons why they went with Batwoman. 1. The live action TV Batman rights are a damn mess. For some reason everyone in the Batfamily and Bruce Wayne can show up, but Batman as Batman, Joker, and Harley (depending on the project) can't show up for some reason. 2. This is the farewell to the main Arrowverse continuity. Almost everyone is showing up with Diggle, Oliver, Kid Flash, Jay Garrick, Zoom, Reverse Flash (sadly not played by Tom. Wish he would return one last time), XS, and a few more characters will return. Only Batwoman and Legends didn't get a proper ending for their shows, so choosing Batwoman to show up makes some sense (this season would serve as a epilogue to the character). 3. Red Death is Flash and Batman merged into one with both fighting over control of the body with the more dominant being the main personality (which it was Bruce for the most part in the comics). They confirmed negative speedforce for Red Death here and it seems that it will be either Zoom or Reverse Flash merging with Batwoman with one of the two villains taking control of her mind. I feel that the ending of the show will somehow tie into what was set up since season 1....the disappearance of The Flash in the future. And while it was stated that the Flash would die in a Crisis event, it is possible that the machine the rogues have is what caused a "crisis" and The Flash dies here. I still hope that this season ends with a bang since although I never saw the previous seasons since 2, I want to see how they would end an era that started with Arrow.

What upsets me even more is until season 6 Cecile was by far one of my favourites, she wasn’t a regular but she was very fun to watch and really added to the episode, I think the issue began when they tried to make her a deep character when she clearly shouldn’t be as it fills the show up even more

Coming back to the show after 4 years is so weird… I’m rewatching from season 1 to now (Currently on season 4), and I just got curious about what’s happening, and so much is different. It’s just not the same, 3 random characters suddenly on team flash, No Cisco who always cracks jokes and makes it have life, Caitlyn is dead and after 4 and a half seasons of loving her character they made it so hollow, it’s just… Why? What happened to this show??? They really should have let it end at season 3, that had the perfect ending…

The Flash shouldn't have been the final Arrowverse show. It should've been Legends. I know many other fans have given up on the show before its' cancellation. But I've watched it all the way through and I can safely say they mostly improved in season 7. It felt the most like Legends of Tomorrow since 3. No one I watch has talked about it (The Black Lion, Pagey, AirricksReloaded) and I'm sad about it. I still can't believe it was left hanging on a cliffhanger in favor of whatever Gotham Knights is. Screw Warner Bros.

Hey wild theory but hear me out, the timeline constantly changes right? So what if it changed so much that instead of a fight between Thawne and Barry, it’s a fight between Barry and the Red Death that triggers the flashes disappearance, because I seen the promo for the next episode where Barry was in shackles, and remember Thawne traveled back in time to follow Barry because he was mad Barry escaped…so what if they made it Barry escaped and Red Death chases him🤷🏾‍♂️ I just feel like the show is gonna wrap up around the time of The Flash movie, because every season goes on break for like 2 or 3 weeks, so what if they make an ending that ties into The Flash movie🤷🏾‍♂️

Red Death's arc will finish on episode 5 though, she's not the main big bad, just the first of three (three arcs and one or two interlude/filler in a 13 episode season). And Eric Wallace already spoiled Barry and Team Flash will have a happy ending thanks to Khione... somehow.

I swear that if they had fired the writer of the last seasons and left me as a writer and creative director, I would have done magic with this last season, for free. All the characters would have shone as they deserve and i would have changed the whole scheme of the series to really focus on what matters. Pretty accurate ratings I’d say. Episode 2 was kinda god awful, lol. It felt like it had nothing to do, it focused primarily on the side characters, it killed off Caitlin with no remorse, mourning, or focus, etc. just bad overall However this episode with the rogues squad team up and red death reveal were overall pretty good. The final line delivery was really cheesy but overall it’s a good ep.

Eric Wallace (the "genius" showrunner and writer behind every questionable and infamous decisions of the show) did tease/hyped Khione as the "most powerful being of Earth-Prime" and important for the plot so Barry and the others can get their happy ending.

The main plot line I've liked, the side stories and the new Kaitlyn are very annoying, but with how downhill the show has been last couple seasons or so doesn't take much to make an improvement. I figured that Batwoman would be Red Death but my only complaint about this is that as far as I remember they've never had one interaction with the 2nd Batwoman feel like it would've been better to go with the original Kate (who I'm pretty sure got recast after Ruby Rose quit? Pretty sure I remember hearing about that) or even Luke Fox. Also will say even though I did laugh when she said I'm Vengeance I still liked that reference.

This show just continues to spiral downward. I'm really starting to think shows should not go past season 5 because they either end up becoming silly and childish or they become overblown and nonsensical. Episode 2 was pathetic, for anyone who wants to see that same storyline done right, watch the Star Trek: Voyager episode entitled "Tuvix". So on the show Caitlin has been a doctor, a meta powered hero/villain and now she's a new age hippie with blue highlights handing out life lessons to everyone around her. How did that sound good to any writer? The "Rogue War" was boring, the fight cinematography was beyond basic and the dialogue was just one liners. This episode made "Thor: Love and Thunder" seem like Citizen Kane by comparison. Red Death's "armor" really looks plastic and like something out of Power Rangers (The early seasons). And while in the comics the character was connected to an overal story that stands as one of DC's best. This show is taking it and making it overly simple and silly like they did with Deathstorm. When Joe West talks about wanting to leave Central City, it really feels more like Jesse Martin really just wants off this show and who can blame him really?

Red death was badass in the comics because he was Bruce Wayne who is the most badass jla member. He was literally an evil Bruce Wayne with the speed force who mastered the speed force to point where when running instead of creating a trail of lightning he'd created a trail of bats that would fly off and latched onto any living thing and draining their life energy and transferring it to Bruce.

The costume is just really bulky, especially in the chest area. Making an arrow version of red death would have been better, considering the name has nothing to do with batman and comes from an edgsr allen poe story.

Even if that was Bruce from a story standpoint, it would never make sense because Bruce and Barry never met in the Arroweverse. In fact, Red Death as main villian is just bad imo because Red Death isn't even part of Flash villians. It is like having Darkseid as a main villian in a Batman movie or TV series because Batman faces Darkseid before. They could have reboot the character to make him Oliver Queen or have a different origin for Red Death. My idea was going to make him either literal death that take the form a speedster or Eddie Thawne. The first idea would have Red Death as a nature of force chasing Barry and waiting for his death which will come as the end of the series, making Red Death the most powerful character in the Arroweverse because it is literally Death itself. The second idea is to make him Eddie Thawne which would make sure because Barry and Eddie interact. Eddie Thawne could have been asborb in the speed force but Eobard Thawne attempted to asborb it but Eddie protect it. In return, Eddie Thawne became corrupted with the negative speed force, making him Galactus for the speedster.

Now for some people that you don’t know There is in Dc something called the dark multiverse and There is a version of Batman who decides to steal barry speed by driving him in fast high speed into the speed and that lead to the two to merge together and that give us the red death so mostly this version will be way better because sometimes barry tries to fight Bruce and get control but will know very well The Batman got a good training and he is good at fighting back so it’s hard to Barry get control and well for the story and reason why he is in this flash time line The reason will probably may be During crisis on infinite earths and earth -52 got erased and before the red death joined the Batman who laugh he decided to find who did this and that lead him to Barry and he decided to take revenge on him and his loved one Well ofc we know all Barry will win in the end since he is the hero but just think about it Bruce the legend the goat being evil and the flash speed and yeah for the record Red death He has his own speed force When he is running you won’t see red lighting you only will be seeing bats and for last thing as I remember So on episode 3 he did attack the flash and the people who were helping him right if this Red death was the og one his attack will lead to everyone and everything around him to rots and ages so fast

I was fine with the episode until Barry suited up then stops in his tracks before fighting the rogues. When he said “they wont get away” they easily could have given us a cool fight scene showcasing Barry’s power and he takes them all down. THEN you can have red death come in similar to Savitar style and beat barry and outclass him showcasing her power. But no, lets have him stop and need rogues to take out C or B tier villains.
