Great Tutorial! Definitely modifying it a bit for personal needs haha. Question though: Is there a way to extend the time of the lightning bolt animations? I noticed that it stops after 2 seconds or so.

parikhvasu95 If you don't have quicktime installed the "FLARE.mov" file won't work, you'll also need the color vibrance plugin from video co-pilot for the lighting to be be in color. If its not either of these, let me know.

Hey , I just wanted totell you that i love your flash effects i make every single 1 of them. Keep on the good work. For your next one, can you plz do the effect when the flash is running but from side perspective . Example in episode 17 while hes running and Drwells is explaining how to phase but without ggreen screen and i want to talk while the clip so i don't want to use time reammaping. Talhah Lockhat I essentially drew the lightning bolt animating several instances of "Advacned lightning" to time precisely with the Cw version, I then copied the same lightning, change the color to an orangey red and animated the conductivity state to kick in at a certain point.

The logo, I assume you mean the little bolt, it's just a shape layer I drew and added a bevel alpha too, wasn't worth making the episode longer to explain. The Lightning is a bit more complicated, but if enough of you want to know how it's done, by all means I will do an episode on it 😀

Adobe After Effects CS4, the only compatible version with a 32 bit system..

+lonearcherfilms I found another way to do it! I created the gray and blue parts of the text in After Effects with fake 3D, then I created the last part with cinema 4D. It was pretty difficult to set the Cinema 4D light as well, but the final result is really similar!

Henry Wright I've had a couple of people mention this, not sure why it happens. My advice is to grab the 3D position controls for the light and move it around (up or down) until you can see you text. In other words, have a play with the position of the light until it look right for you :)
