The buses have improved a bit since my day! I started driving for Lincs Road Car in June '77, out of their Scunthorpe depot. Bristol Lodekkas for the crews, and VRs for the one man operators. Early morning runs (when there were very few passengers) would often be Bristol LHs, and it was while driving one of those that I fell asleep at the wheel going down that steep hill into Scampton village! Manual gearbox and bottom gear meant it didn't run away, and I woke up with a start when the nearside front wheel dropped into one of those drainage cuts in the grass verge. My only passenger was asleep on the back seat, so the incident has stayed a secret from that day to this!

Thank you for the story 😁. Lucky that. I don't know the old buses to compare, but I agree these ones are nice. They continue to improve except the designs in my opinion. Thank you for the comment and watching

Incolnshire is one of my favourite counties (and I can compare, I've been in every single one). It's a county that's best seen from a double decker bus, if possible, but I use the words "if possible" because most routes are rural and therefore use single deckers. Try to beak your journey - there are quaint market towns, - windmills are another feature - all mills have "turning days" so you need to look them up before you go, and most have a cafe serving local bread made with the mill flour. Fenland, which resembles what I've seen in Holland, e.g. Spalding with a canal running the full length along the middle of its main street. Cheer up Grimsby - that's the place to see real seafood and it comes from waters far and wide. And all bus routes finally lead to Lincoln - take the little bus squeezing it's way up the winding streets of the old town. Streets so narrow, it only can go one way, in a circle.! And for railway enthusiasts - a principle rail line (not a branch line) that runs only one train a day (in each direction & on weekdays only)!! Give it all a go.!!

Thank you for the informative comment. This is what the comment section is for. I'll take your recommendations onboard. I'm yet to see most parts of the county. I have a separate channel where I post places that I visit so maybe the quaint villages will feature there. I agree not all routes have the double decker buses running. It's wasn't too foggy - it turned out to be a very nice day - I hope you didn't put too many people off by saying foggy. Very useful video - when I come to Lincolnshire, I'll need the 103 whose two termini are the same, but the route is much more rural. However, I doubt it's a double decker so I suppose that limits your range of scope. For viewers not from Lincs, you quickly notice the ubiquitous white bus stops of the county. Some routes I have been on in Lincs are some of the most unique in the UK, driving along beside endless canal dikes with curious bridges and the occasional windmill, just like in the Netherlands. But these are more usually rural routes and with a frequency of just 2 or 3 buses per day, and often only on M-F. It definitely is one of my favourite counties for bus travel (and I've been in all 48 counties in England - very few people have). How do you manage if it's a single decker.?

Glad you liked it. I thought I'll mention that so viewers are aware of the fog from the beginning. I might change the title. I know bus 103, it goes from Lincoln to Scunthorpe via Kirton Lindsay, and operates a single deck. I only film single decks upon request. It's not easy to film when on a single deck. I like Lincolnshire too, I live here. I hope you enjoy your visit next time. Thank you for watching and commenting

Yes, its a great boon if you're at bus-pass age, but until then the best possibilty is something like a "day rider", but this is usually only for one company. The metropolitan counties like West Yorks, G.M. and West Midlands, have their own schemes. Lincolnshire has one of the worst integrated transport systems in the country. I only can think of a very few others, comparable. To the contrary, residents of Devon and Cornwall have a mind-boggling array of integrated tickets, which include everything (except donkey rides on the beach.!!!). Maybe Lincs Council would prefer people to use a car, or stay at home.😊

I can only ride on Saturdays due to work. But if I take a few days off work I can consider this. Thank you for your comment

But still don't like your twitchy camera angle adjustments on bends in the road !!
@busouting8 ай бұрын
I mount the phone and don't move it unless it falls. If I hold it to control at every bend the video will be too shaky making it worse. Thank you for your comment
